(1) try to do sth. 表示“　　　　　　　　”；try doing sth.表示“　　　　　　　　”。

(1)“Why not do sth.?”用来表示提出建议，相当于“　　　　”。

(2) write down 意为“　　　　”，与put down同义。write down是　　　　型短语，宾语是名词时，可放在write down中间，也可放在down后。宾语是　　　　时，应将其放在write down中间。

这里的what else 接在前几个表示建议的句子后，相当于“What else should you do?”。
