Ss can talk about themselves with the information of their appearance, things they like, things they have and things they can do.

Ss can make a profile.

Ss can write a passage about their profiles.

Emotional aims:

Ss love reading about writing about themselves.

Teaching procedures：

Step1. Show Bobby’s profile, teach the word “profile”.

1. Watch a video about Bobby, then talk about Bobby according to the video, finish the chart.

T: What’s his name?

S: His name is Bobby.

T: What does he have?

S: He has a big nose.

T: What does Bobby like?

S: He likes cakes and mangoes.

T: What does he have?

S: He has 12 balls.

T: What can he do?

S: He can swim.

T: Can he fly?

S: No, he can’t.

2. Chant about Bobby.

Teacher:            Ss:

I am Bobby.        Bobby, Bobby.

I have a big nose.   Nose, nose.

I like cakes.        Cakes, cakes.

I like mangoes.     Mangoes, mangoes.

I have 12 balls.     Balls, balls.

I can swim.        Swim, swim.

I can’t fly.         Oh, no!

3  Say about Bobby and teach the word Profile.

   My         is Bobby. I        a big nose. I        cakes and mangoes. I          12 balls. I      swim. I can’t fly.

   T: This is Bobby’s profile.

   Ss read the word after T.

   Choose the meaning. A. 人物图片   B.人物简介

Step 2. Show the teacher’s profile to the Ss.

1. Today, we’ll learn to write about your profile. What does a profile include?

Ss say: Name, age, appearance…

Show the mind map.

2. Talk about the basic information about T.

T: My name is Linda. I’m 37 years old. I have big eyes. What about you?

Ss try to say: My name is … I’m … years old. I have …

3. Talk about the things that the teacher like.

1)      T: I like animals very much. Guess. What do I like?

S: Do you like …?

T: Yes, but why?

S: Because they’re …

Ss talk: I like … because they’re…

2)      T: I like fruit too. Look, I like peaches and grapes. They’re sweet and juicy. What about you?

S: I like … and … They’re … and …

3)      T: I like sports. Look, I have a rope. I can skip. What do you have and what can you do?

S: I have a basketball and I can play basketball very well.

Ss try to use the structure to describe.

I have … and I can …

Or

I have… I can … I can … too.

Or

I can… and … But I can’t …  I can have a try. I believe I can.

Step 3. Show the writing of the teacher’s profile and one student’s profile, and give the writing tips.

Step 4. Ss try to do a survey and write about their profiles.

Step 5. Check the writing

Check by teacher.

Check in pairs.

1. Read your partner’s article, circle the mistakes.

（读同伴的作文，圈出错误）

2. Underline the sentences that you like, and draw stars behind it.

（划出你喜欢的句子， 在后面画五角星）

Step 6. Show time

1. Stick photos.
2. Read the articles and stick it on the poster.
3. Stick the poster on the wall and share them in class.

Step 7. Homework

1. Read your profile and try to make it better.（读自己的个人简介，修改后誊写在作业本上。）

2. Take a photo of your profile send to  your class QQ. （给写好的个人简介拍照，发到班级QQ群。）
