What d yu d t keep yurself and yur lved nes safe during an earthquake? In mst situatins, yu can prtect yurself if yu immediately DROP DOWN, COVER, and HOLD ON. Firstly, if yu are in a high-rise building, DROP DOWN nt yur hands and knees befre the earthquake kncks yu dwn. This psitin prtects yu frm falling and allws yu t still mve if necessary.
Secndly, COVER yur head and neck (and yur entire bdy if pssible) underneath a hard table r desk. If there is n place t take cver nearby, get dwn near an inner wall r next t a lw-lying piece f furniture that wn't fall n yu, and cver yur head and neck with yur arms and hands.
Thirdly, HOLD ON t the cver fr yur head and neck until the shaking stps. Be prepared t mve with yur cver if the shaking is still ging n.Remember that everybdy shuld stay cnnected and infrmed.
