    Part I  Grammar

    1. Have all students read English sentences on the screen, observe their proficiency, pauses, and meaning groups, check their comprehension, pronunciation accuracy, and language perception, and pay attention to their subjective initiative.

    2. Let students work in pairs to try to translate sentences into Chinese, and experience the form and meaning of Passive voice in the process of translation.

    When the subject of a sentence is the performer of an action, the form of the predicate is the Active voice. When the subject of a sentence is the receiver of an action, the predicate should be in the Passive voice. The Passive voice is composed of Auxiliary verb be+past participle, and tense changes are expressed through be.

    1)一般现在时

    主语 + am / is / are + 过去分词

    主动:They make shoes in that factory.

    被动:Shoes are made (by them) in that factory.

    2)一般过去时

    主语 + was / were + 过去分词

    主动:She looked after the little baby yesterday.

    被动:The little baby was looked after by her yesterday.

    3)一般将来时

    主语 + will + be + 过去分词

    主动:They will finish the work in ten days.

    被动:The work will be finished (by them) in ten days.

    Part II  Pronunciation

    1. The teacher plays the recording and asks the students to listen carefully and read the words and phrases in question 1 after the recording, imitating the pronunciation as much as possible.

    2. The teacher asked the students to work in groups of four, with each person reading aloud in the group. Then, each group recommends one person to the front of the classroom to participate in a group reading. Finally, select two to three people to read aloud. Afterwards, students who did not go to the front to read aloud followed the recommended students to read again. Two different pronunciation demonstrations can also be given in class, one is to lose the burst, and the other is not to lose the burst. During the demonstration process, the pronunciation that has not lost its explosion should be as obvious as possible, so that students can observe the difference between the two pronunciations and guide them to make correct judgments.

    3. The teacher first provides a brief explanation of the pronunciation rules of 'lost explosion', and then has the students read the following words and phrases according to the rules. Teachers can guide students in areas where they have difficulty reading aloud.

    There are three sentences for practicing pronunciation in this unit. The teacher should lead the students to read the sentences according to the meaning group, and read them multiple times to achieve practice makes perfect.

    Students will check their mastery of language knowledge such as vocabulary and phrases in this unit based on the exercise questions set. Identify existing shortcomings through testing, and learn to summarize, self-evaluate, and reflect after class. During this process, teachers can provide necessary guidance based on the actual situation, guide students to cultivate good learning habits, and promote the continuous improvement of students' language learning and autonomous learning abilities. Example of operation:

    1. Provide students with a clear reference range and check the 12 words and phrases they have learned.

    2. After the students have completed the checkmark, they should show their thumbs to the teacher and group members. Among them, students who place 10-12 checkmarks with their thumbs pointing upwards indicate excellent mastery. Students who place 8-9 checkmarks should indicate good mastery by placing their thumbs parallel to the ground. Share the self-evaluation and reflection of this unit with peers and record it in a notebook.
