本课教学内容选自高等教育出版社出版的“十四五”职业教育国家规划教材，《英语3 基础模块》中第五单元的阅读和写作（Reading and writing）板块，本阅读语料是自然奇观的宣传册，内容是石林、伊瓜苏瀑布和东非大裂谷的景观介绍。要求学生能读懂有关自然景观的文章，并使用恰当的词汇与句型描述自然景观，完成景点宣传手册的写作任务。通过阅读活动锻炼职场语言沟通能力和思维差异感知能力，通过写作夯实语言基础，提升职场书面语言沟通的素养。

学情分析

经过前两节课的学习，学生已经掌握了关于自然景观信息询问和回应的基本语言表达，并能以记者的角度将对话内容转述成报道。但对有关自然景观宣传册中的基本信息和特色信息缺乏区分辨别能力，需要在完成相应的任务过程中，归类、总结文中三个自然景观的基本信息和特色信息，培养阅读的思维能力。完成景点宣传册的写作时，要注意游客的喜好和自然景观特色之间的关系，培养学生的逻辑能力。

Knowledge objectives:

To learn words and phrases to introduce the wonders: Argentina,travel agency,travel destination,formation,lifelike,distance,locate,border,range,impressive,rift,vary,towering,buffalo,

gorilla.

To master the long sentences skillfully:The first wonder we will introduce to you is the Stone Forest in China,which lies about 80miles from Kunming city.

The last wonder we’ll introduce to you is the Great Rift Valley which can be seen from space,the longest rift in the world with a length of 6400kilometers along East Africa.

To identify and distinguish the basic information and the features of natural wonders in a brochure.

Step 1:

Warming up

1.Play three pieces of videos to introduce the wonders of nature.

         Stone Forest in China

         Iguassu Falls

         Great Rift Valley

1.Watch the videos to know or remember some information about the three wonders of nature.

激活对于自然景观的了解，用视频形式从不同角度介绍本课即将要讲述的三个景观，激发学习兴趣。为读前的匹配任务做准备。

Step 2:

Reading

1.Read and match.

Read the three natural sights that travel journalist Kevin has covered. Then match the descriptions with the natural sights.

         Brazil and Argentina巴西和阿根廷

2.Read and check.

Read the article and judge whether your choices in activity 9 is correct. Find the evidence sentence.

3.Read and complete.

Read and find out the details from the text to fill in the key words about the natural wonders.

4. Discuss and choose.

Read the information from three customers .Discuss and make suitable choices for the three customers in groups and give reasons for the recommendation by one student.

5.Analyze and recommend.

Suppose you are a travel reporter, please select the recommended landscape in a group discussion based on the natural landscape in the article, and explain the reasons.

Step 4:

Writing

1.   Read and describe.

A is a staff member of the Victoria Falls Scenic Area, and B is a travel reporter. Please complete the following dialogue based on the pictures and the tips given.

2.Write and practice.

1)Complete the Victoria Falls brochure based on the conversations between A and B (Victoria Falls Scenic staff and a travel reporter) in Activity 14.

2)Ask two students to show their works on the screen.Teacher gives some advice and corrects mistakes.

2.Finish the brochure about the Victoria Falls and check the writings in group ,then show the brochure on the screen.

根据活动14的对话内容，提取信息并突出自然景观的特色，制作旅游宣传手册，达到宣传的目的。将活动14的对话的直接引语转换成活动15的间接引语，为下文语法知识部分做铺垫。
