本课教学内容选自高等教育出版社出版的“十四五”职业教育国家规划教材，《英语3 基础模块》中第一单元的热身（Warming Up）和听说（Listening and Speaking）板块，本单元主题为全球的节日，本节听、说语料分别是关于中国传统节日中秋节和春节的介绍，以及礼貌地接受或拒绝节日庆祝活动的邀请。要求学生掌握与中国传统节日相关的词汇与表达，能够对节日活动进行礼貌地邀请和应答，并根据新年和元宵节具体节日具体介绍和邀请，识别节日介绍中的文化信息，了解和尊重不同的节日文化。

学情分析

 对于节日这个话题，学生能够说出几个西方节日，简单介绍中国的重要节日，但因为缺乏相关词汇和表达的积累，对如何详细介绍具体信息，邀约外国朋友参加相关庆祝活动，不能流利用英语交流。因此，教师在听说部分应结合任务和情景，由浅入深的教学，为学生扫除词汇障碍，提供具体表达方法，引导学生由简单到复杂，熟练掌握重要词汇和表达，并灵活运用于实际情景，同时尊重外国人士对节日邀请接受和拒绝的态度。

学习目标

To be able to introduce the Chinese traditional festivals .

To be able to invite foreign friends to participate the celebration of the festival.

(1)  To respect the differences of receiving and refusing an invitation in different countries.

(2)  To stimulate the interest in Chinese traditional festival culture.

Step 1:

Lead in

1.   Ask and answer a question:What is your favourite festival?Why? The teacher gives some pictures and an example answer.

2.   Ask some groups to act it ,give some help if needed,and prize the good answers.

1.   Ask and answer in pairs according to the pictures and teacher’s example.
2.   Act them dialogue in class and correct the mistakes with the teacher’s help.

以问题和图片讨论话题，加上学生的生活经历，引出本节话题，激发学习兴趣，激活知识储备。

Step 2:

Warming up

1.   Look and match.

1)Present the pictures and phrases.Give some explanation about some new words.(pay attention to the pronunciation) Match them with the right pictures.

2)Extend more information about each festival.

The Mid-Autumn Day :Chinese lunar calendar /full moon / family reunion /appreciating the moon /mooncakes /

Chang'e flying to the moon/

Wish you and your family a happy Mid-Autumn Festival!

The Water-Splashing Festival:The Dai ethnic group lives in south-eastern China’sYunnan province./More water means more good luck in the coming year./It’s regarded as the Valentine’s Day for them.

The Dragon Boat Festival:Double Fifth Festival/the fifth day of  the fifth lunar month/commemorate the death of a Chinese patriotic poet, QuYuan/rice-dumpling/ zongzi/dragon boat racing 

Thanksgiving Day:USA  & Canada/the fourth Thursday in November & the second Monday in October/give thanks for the food and other good things people enjoy in life/get together to have a big family meal/turkey

2.   Read and write.

Read the activities and write the right name of festival.

Talk about the pictures and match them with the right picture.

Discuss and think out more information about  each festival,review them and learn some new and take some notes.

热身环节掌握不同的节日的代表性活动，通过小组讨论出恰当搭配，并拓展更多有关每个节日的相关活动及表达，扫清听力词汇和句型障碍，为后续的听说活动做准备。

对应节日和活动，掌握节日的书写和活动的英语表达。

Step 3:

Listening

1.   Listen and tick.

Read the phrase and let students predict the content of the listening. Then play the listening.

2.   Listen and complete.

Before playing the listening, ask students to read the invitation and know what information they should get,then listen again to write the key information to fill in the blank.（understand the dialogue withe the life experiences）

3.   Listen and complete.

Before listening, let students read the text and know what they should get while listening .Then play the listening to get the key words to fill in the blanks and check their answers.

4.   Show the dialogue.

Repeat the script together.

1.Pay attention to he key words and listen to the dialogue to grasp the topic.

2.Know what they should grasp this time and listen again to get them and finish the task.Think about how we celebrate the Mid-Autumn Day.

3.Read the passage and know what they should get while listening.Grasp the missing words to finish the task and know the dialogue more.

4.Read the script to check if they get the right information and write the words correctly.

通过训练学生利用问题和选项预测听力内容，在听的过程中有意捕捉信息并判断文章主题。

运用听前策略，根据提示信息，有的放矢地听，提高学生把握对话主要内容并记录的能力，注重所需信息的细节处理，补全邀请函。

学生在把握对话主要内容的基础上，提高提取细节信息的能力，同时也为下一环节中的语言输出做准备。

对照检查任务，视觉加深印像。

Step 4:

Dialogue learning

1.   Listen、read and underline.

Listen to the recording. Read the dialogue after the recording to underline the sentences. Then check the answers.

2.   Language points analysis.

Analyze the important words and phrases of the dialogue:celebrate,reunion, fall,lunar,

bright,sound,similar,big,appreciate,receive

1.   Read it to underline the sentences about invitation and festival introduction.

2.   Understand the important language points and take notes.

通过听录音,跟读和完成任务。找出有关节日活动和邀请及应答的表达。

分析重点词汇和表达，使学生掌握有关节日活动和邀请及应答的语言表达。夯实重点，为之后的口语输出做准备。

Step 5:

Speaking

1.Imitate and talk.

1)Read the given information about a New Year ‘s Eve Party and practise with partner using the given example.Know how to respond and invite friend’s invitation,and introduce the party.

2)Make own dialogue using the information above,add some questions and expressions we have mastered before to enrich it,then act it out in front of the class.

3)Teacher gives some advice and corrects mistakes.

1) Read the persons’ information and activity.

2)Make own dialogue using the information above,then act it out in front of the class.

1.   Read the information together to learn the background and Party information and prepare for the dialogue.

2.   Make dialogue with partners and show it in front of the class.

3.Accept the advice and get a better one.

Make up a new dialogue to invite a new employee from Germany to join your Lantern Festival celebration.Then practice it with partners.

掌握对话人物背景和新年前夕聚会信息，结合上一任务中的对话，及所给对话框架，在脑中构思问题和应答。
