教材分析

本课教学内容选自高等教育出版社出版的“十四五”职业教育国家规划教材，《英语3 基础模块》中第一单元的阅读和写作（Reading and writing）板块，本阅读语料为节日类说明文，介绍了中国的春节、西方的圣诞和泰国的宋干节，要求学生通过阅读文章，概括文章主题， 梳理文章内容，获取信息细节，习得介绍节日的词汇和表达，感知中外不同的节日文化，增强文化理解能力。在写作板块，要求学生学会使用恰当的词汇和句型补充圣诞节的信息，完善节日邀请函，增强语用能力。

学情分析

经过听说内容的学习，学生已能根据情境发出或接受节日邀请；能够描述节日名称、庆祝活动的时间、地点和活动等相关基本信息。但多数学生对节日类说明文的阅读策略还比较陌生，教师需因材施教，通过完成学习任务，引导学生逐步掌握阅读方法，获取文章关键信息，锻炼学生的逻辑思维能力。学生在第一册第五单元Celebrations中详细学习过邀请函的写作方法，因此我们将把写作重点放在如何对邀请函的内容进行补充上，培养学生的语言输出能力。

Step 1:

Warming up

1.   Think and discuss

1）What is the most important festival in China?

2）What do we usually do before the Spring festival ?

3）What do we usually do on the Eve of the Spring festival ?

4）What do we usually do during the Spring festival ?

1.   Think and discuss to show their answer:

1)     The Spring Festival

2)     go for new year shopping;buy new clothes；clean and decorate our house; make dumplings; hang red lanterns; put couplets,etc

 Reading

1.Discuss and match.

Read options and choose the right festival to match the activity.

2.Read and choose.

Read the options and know the key words and ask students read the article quickly and find key information to support the main idea,then choose the right one.

3.Read and complete.

Read carefully to fill in the mind map.

Master the three festivals and their main activities.

4.Read and decide.

Read carefully to decide the sentence true or false, and correct the wrong information with a proper reason.

Ask some students to show their answers and explain the reason.

5.Discuss and compare.

Discuss the similarity and difference between the Spring Festival and Christmas Day in groups ,then show their results and sum them up.

2.Read the first and last sentences of each paragraph to answer the questions and get the main idea of the passage.

3.Read carefully to find the festivals and their activities.

4.   Read again to find the supporting sentence to decide them true or false.

5.   Discuss the similarity and difference between the Spring Festival and Christmas Day in groups ,then show their results and sum them up.

匹配节日活动信息，旨在引入课文主题相关内容，提前激活学生的相关知识储备，为后续阅读活动做铺垫。

指导学生快速阅读，寻找关键词,归纳大意，理清文章结构,选出主题。

借助思维导图，细读文章，提取不同节日庆祝方式的不同细节，找出关键信息补全导图。

Step 4:

Writing

1.Read and describe.

Fill in the description about Christmas Day according to the pictures.Know the activities during the festival.

Ask a student to check his/her work and correct the mistakes.

2.Write and practice.

1)Read the given information and know what they should write .

Who: Li Fei.

What：join a festival party.

When :at 6:00 p.m

How:decorate the Christmas tree

     Sing Christmas songs

     Give presents and best wishes

     Play games and eat traditional food

2)Finish the festival invitation according to the information in task 14.Ask two students to show their works on the screen.Teacher gives some advice and corrects mistakes.

Use the right expressions to describe Christmas Day.Then read the paragraphs to know how to introduce the festival.

Read and prepare for the writing by the information given in task 14 and the frame.

Write by themselves.

Show the writing.Find if there is missing information or errors, and add or correct them.

补全对圣诞节的描述，积累节日活动的介绍表达，为接下来的邀请涵写作做准备。

给出框架图，帮助学生理解邀请的写作结构，降低写作难度，增强写作信心。

学生通过互评和教师现场点评能够第一时间发现文题，纠正错误，取长补短，提高课堂实效性。
