Africa is a land full f festivals. Thrughut the whle cntinent, clrful festivals cver music, religin, culture, etc.The Festima mask festival takes place every tw years in la Côte d’Ivire(科特迪瓦). Peple frm arund frty different villages attend it, bringing their wn styles f masks, and the mask dances last thrughut the day. The Lantern Festival, r Yuanxia Festival, is an imprtant traditinal Chinese festival. In ancient China, the first Chinese lunar mnth is called “yuan” mnth, and night means “xia”, s the first full mn night f a year is called Yuanxia Festival. It falls n the 15th day f the first Chinese lunar mnth and marks the end f the Chinese New Year celebratin.

This festival dates back t the Han Dynasty, with a histry f mre than 2,000 years. Emperr Wu f the Han Dynasty rdered big ceremnies (仪式) n the 15th day f the first Chinese lunar mnth t wrship (祭祀) Taiyi, the Gd f Heaven in ancient times, fr gd weather and health. When Buddhism (佛教) was intrduced int China, the emperrs began t wrship Buddha by lighting lanterns in the palace and temples t dispel darkness. Until the Tang Dynasty, cmmn peple were allwed t light lanterns n this day. Gradually, the Lantern Festival develped as a flk festival.
