Brainstorming: T shows antonyms to help Ss to get to know the meaning and usage of “or”.T: Look at the picture. There are two elephants. Is this one big or small?Ss: It’s big.T: Look at the girl and the giraffe. Is she tall or short?Ss: Short.…2. T asks Ss to guess the meaning of “or”. 3. T shows her picture and asks: Am I a teacher or a student? Ss: You’re a teacher. Then T shows her family album to introduce the words of jobs.Step 2: Presentation 1. T shows her mother’s photo and asks Ss to guess who she is. Then T says: She works in a hospital. What’s her job? S guesses: She is a doctor. (T plays the recording and asks Ss to read after it. Then T asks Ss to spell and read it one by one.) After practicing the word, T asks:Is she a doctor or a nurse? And help Ss to answer: She is a doctor.2. T shows a woman’s photo and asks Ss to guess who she is. Then T says: My sister works in a hospital, too. But she is not a doctor. What’s her job? S guesses: She is a nurse.
