The virtual chir was the idea f award-winning cmpser and cnductr Eric Whitacre . Brn in the USA n 2 January 1970, Whitacre began studying music at the University f Nevada in 1988. He fell in lve with Mzart’s classical music when he sang fr the university chir. Mved by this music, he said, “It was like seeing clr fr the first time.” He graduated frm university in 1995, and then received a master’s degree in musical cmpsitin frm the Juilliard Schl in New Yrk in 1997. Over the next 10 years, Whitacre’s riginal cmpsitins began t becme quite ppular amng chirs and singers. This led t the creatin f the virtual chir.
