    亮点表达:

    1.建议信开头常用句式

    ①I know you are now having trouble communicating with othersand you may often feel lonely.我知道你现在在与人交流方面有些麻烦,你也可能经常感到孤独。

    ②I’m glad to receive your letter asking for my advice on...

    很高兴收到你就……征求建议的来信。

    ③Here are some tips/a few suggestions to help you.

    这里有帮助你的一些建议。

    1.    表达建议常用句式

    First(ly)why not join a club? If you do thisyou can make friends.

    首先,为什么不参加一个俱乐部?如果你这样做的话,就会交到朋友。

    Second(ly)you should/can try to talk with others.Then/That wayyou will feel better.

    其次,你应该尽力与人交谈。这样,你会感觉好点。

    Third(ly)it would be a good idea if you read a book or listen to music.By doing thisyou will calm yourself down.

    第三,如果你看书或听音乐将会是个不错的主意。通过这样做,你会使自己平静下来。

    Last but not leastyou should talk with her first.

    1.    建议信结尾常用句式

    ①I hope you will find these ideas useful.

    ②As time goes onpeople will know you better and will like to make friends with you if you can follow the above advice.

    写作技巧:

    连句成篇,行文连贯

    句子是由词汇组成的,而文章是由句子组成的,遣词造句要按语法和习惯表达,组句成篇也要按照篇章结构。选择能够恰当表示并列、递进、因果、转折、条件等意义的连词,把要点句子连接成文,使句与句,段与段之间意思连贯,衔接自然,从而生动、准确地表达考题内容。同时要根据表达的需要注意变换句式,避免句子结构的单调性。如:使用不同结构、不同长度的句子,尽量使句型多样化;多使用一些主从复合句来代替简单句,使行文更加流畅有力;改变句子开头方式,不要一味地都是主语开头,接着是谓语、宾语,最后再在句末加上一个状语。增加书面表达的表现力。

    2.Polish your draft and share it with your partner.

    1.Review the expressions and sentence patterns .

    2.Read through the passage on Page 75.Choose one of the questions and then write a letter of advice.

    1.Worried Friend is worried that his or her friend,Chen Lei,plays computer games too often and spends too much time online.

    2.Perhaps Chen Lei is anxious because he spends too much time online and cant focus on other things in life.He is unhealthy because he is addicted to the Internet and cannot concentrate on school and family life.

    3.She recommends that Worried Friend talk to Chen Lei and encourage him to try new hobbies.

    4.She is friendly,considerate,helpful and responsible because she gives useful and practical advice.

    Activity 2

    1.Perhaps the advice is useful,because it is always good to talk to a friend about his or her problem and offer advice.

    2.I would tell Chen Lei that he should spend his time more productively with an eye on his future.For example,instead of playing computer games,he could learn computer programming.Who knows?He might become a great figure in that field when hes old.

    Dear Xu Ting,

    You wrote that you always feel lonely after school because your parents work in another city.I understand how you feel.It is common for teenagers to feel lonely when they live far away from their parents.

    I think you can try joining a volunteer group that helps other people.This will give you a chance to meet and be around others.It will also help you realize that you are not alone in having problems,too.Helping other people also makes us feel better.You can also connect with your parents online.Just because your parents are far away,it doesnt mean you cant talk to them.Im sure that youll make new friends and get a chance to speak to your parents more often.This will help drive away your loneliness.
