Activity 1
Answers may vary. This is one of the versions.
Hello,my name is Jane, and I’m here to talk about how music influenced my father’s life.Have you ever encountered a time when everything went wrong and you were discouraged?Five years ago,my father was diagnosed to develop a serious disease, which was hard to cure.It seemed as if the world was at an end.The doctor suggested that we should keep calm and help my father fight with the disease bravely. He also advised my father to listen to music often.Just as Walter Haddon once said,“Music is the medicine of a troubled mind.” My father followed the doctor’s advice and listened to soft music from time to time.Music gave my father encouragement, music gave my father strength and music gave my father confidence.Music became my father’s best friend, helping him get through the hardest time.
I do hope none of you have to meet with tough times in your life.In case you come across the same situation,I advise you to turn to music, for it does help.
Thank you for listening.
