Lesson objectives:
Students will be able to understand the meanings of words, grandmother, grandfather, farther, mother and me by playing with family finger doll.
The will also be able to pronounce the word correctly.
Students will be able to complete E and F stroke order worksheet
Students will practise pronouncing the 3-letter words ( CVC: consonant-vowel-consonant ) that have ‘a’ middle sound by playing card matching game.
Materials:
- family vocabulary ppt
-CVC cards (‘e’middle sound)
-E and F stroke order worksheets
-family finger dolls
Teaching:
1.family vocabulary ( 10mins)
-Introduce new words to them: make them understand the meanings and learn how to pronounce correctly.
-Use finger dolls to enhance their understanding: give out one finger doll to each student
2.Writing E and F ( 10mins)
Students focus on the stroke order and the counting numbers in English.
3.CVC card game ( 20 mins)
-Students practise sounding out these words by playing this game.
4.A-Z sounds + CVC quizz ( 15mins)
-Students review on A-Z sounds: repeat after the teacher
-play a CVC practise quiz video --> students come up to the board and point at the answers and sound them out corretly.
5.Clean up ( 5mins)
- clean up with the clean up song bei.
