【教学目标】
1.说出,辨认,识别单词:bitter, sometimes, night, sleep等。
句型:What can you see? I can___.
2.重复操练本课句型及对话内容。
3.通过看,听,说等师生,生生交互活动,在模仿—操练—巩固中,让学生熟练地运用所学句型及单词进行交际性的操练,达到学以致用的目的。
4.让学生闻一闻食物的不同味道,体验嗅觉带来的美妙感受。
【教学重难点】
1.Use adjectives to describe how the food items smell or taste.
2.Use wh-questions to find out how the food item smell or taste.
【教学过程】
一、Warming up
1.Blends
2.Daily talk Revision Flash the cards for the words sweet / sweet, lemon / sour, salt / salty and coffee / bitter and ask the students to response quickly.
Take away one card and ask the students which one is missing.
营造宽松的学习氛围 复习,让学生 逐渐进入今天的学习。
二、While-task procedure
Key patterns
1.Write the key patterns: How does it smell? How does it taste? On the blackboard.
2.Ask the students to read after the teacher. Ask students some questions. Practice the dialogue with the students.
3.Have the students practice the dialogue in pairs. Invite several pairs to act it out in front of the class.
4.Show the flashcards for ‘Learn the sounds’ on page.
5.Repeat the words after you until they can pronounce the sound correctly.
6.Then courage them to think of more words with the sound ‘wh-’Competition: Divide the class into two groups to have a competition. The group that writes the most words with the sounds ‘wh-’ wins.
三、Post-task activity
1.Have the students practice the dialogue with more food items, such as a cake, a biscuit, some juice and some jelly.
2.Invite the students to come to the front and close his / her eyes. Have them smell a food item and answer the questions.
3.Divide the class into small groups to play the game. Smell this. How does it smell? What is it? Is it a …? Now open your eyes and taste. How does it taste?
