本句是一个复合句。It是主语,seemed是系动词,that the woman liked...是表语从句。so...that...引导的是结果状语从句。在结果状语从句中,had it delivered是“have+宾语+宾语补足语”结构,由于it和deliver有逻辑上的动宾关系,所以用过去分词形式作宾语补足语。

“have+宾语+过去分词形式”的用法:
(1) 表示请(让)别人做某事
Can I have this parcel weighed here?

(3) 表示主动地完成某动作或解决某事
I have had all my mistakes corrected.

3. Subject Clauses
(1)定义:在英语中,有的从句在复合句中的作用相当于名词,称作名词性从句。复合句
中用作主语的从句叫作主语从句。
(2)语序:主语从句要用陈述句语序。
(3)分类:
① that, whether引导的主语从句
that, whether引导主语从句,在句中不充当成分,that本身没有词义,whether不能改if。
例:That the earth is round is a fact.
That he won the game made a tremendous stir in our country.
Whether she will win the prize is still unknown.
Whether it will do us harm or good remains to be seen.
② 连接代词引导的主语从句
连接代词what, whatever, which, whichever, who, whom, whose, whoever, whomever等引导主语从句,在从句中充当一定的句子成分,可作主语、宾语、表语和定语。
例:Whoever is the last to leave should turn off the lights.
What some scientists have found is that their long-term use can sometimes harm both the
land and people’s health.
Which team will win the match is still unknown.
Who will go makes no difference.
Whom we must serve is a question of vital importance.
③ 连接副词引导的主语从句
连接副词when, where, how, why等引导主语从句,在从句中作状语。
例:When she will be back depends on the weather.
Where she has gone is a mystery.
How this could be done was a good question
Why she didn’t show up remains a puzzle.
④ it作形式主语的主语从句
为避免头重脚轻,常由it作形式主语,把主语从句放在句末。
例:It is a fact that the earth is round.
It is unknown whether she will win the prize.
It is still a question when we shall have a sports meeting.
(4)注意事项:
① 主语从句中的that一般情况下不可省略。
It is a pity that we can’t be friends. √
It is a pity we can’t be friends. ×
That we can’t be friends is a pity. √
We can’t be friends is a pity. ×
② 主语从句在句子中充当主语, 句子的谓语动词用第三人称单数。
例:Why he refused to go is still a mystery.
That he is still alive is surprising.
Who will win the match is still unknown.
Where the party will be held has not yet been decided.
