    本课时分为Let's learnBe a tour guide两个板块。通过Mike问路的对话,Let's learn呈现了单词及词组的形态和意义。这个话题与日常生活息息相关,必然激发学生的浓厚兴趣。Be a tour guide板块用于巩固B部分Let's learn中的词汇。通过让学生简要介绍景点,达到巩固和运用所学语言的目的。

    Step 1 Warm up

    T: Hello, everyone! How are you all doing today? Ss: I'm fine, thanks. How about you? T: I'm doing great, thank you!

    T: Let's start our lesson with a fun chant. Listen to the chant and try to follow along.

    设计意图: 通过友好的问候拉近师生关系,然后通过儿歌活跃课堂氛围,同时课堂中的关键短语“Go straight”也在儿歌中出现,为后续的学习打下基础

    Step 2 Lead in

    T: Alright, everyone, let's have some fun together! I have a special dance for us. It's called the "Bunny Dance." When we dance, we're going to emphasize the words "left" and "right." Are you ready? Let's do it together!

    (播放兔子舞音乐,师生一起跳舞,引导学生跟着音乐做动作,强调单词"left""right"。)

    T: That was fantastic, everyone! You all did an amazing job dancing and following the directions. During the dance, we emphasized the words "left" and "right." Can you tell me which direction is "left"? And how about "right"?

    教学资源: 录音机、磁带 设计意图: 通过有趣的音乐和动作,活跃课堂氛围,增加互动性,同时引出了本课要学习的重要单词"left""right"。这种互动和活动有助于学生更好地理解和记忆这些指示方向的词汇。

    Step 3 Presentation

    1. Teaching the New Words and Phrases: "turn left, turn right, go straight, crossing"

    (1) Teaching "left, right" T: Boys and girls, let's start by looking at my hands. This is my left hand, and this is my right hand. (教师展示自己的左右手,帮助学生理解单词。板书单词"left""right",然后教学"right",让学生联系单词"light""night"的音、形,自己试着拼读单词,指名读,齐读。同时,总结发音规律。)

    (2) Teaching "on the left, on the right" a. T: Look at the picture. Who are they? Ss: They are Xiong'er and Xiongda. T: Xiongda is next to Xiong'er. Who is on the left? Who is on the right?(课件呈现短语"on the left""on the right"。) Ss: ... is on the left/right.(引导学生回答,齐读短语"on the left""on the right"。) b. 让同桌两人利用身边的同学练习句型,然后指名进行练习。 _______ is on the left/right.

    (3) Teaching "turn left, turn right" a. 呈现向左转、向右转的标志,引出短语"turn left""turn right"。(板书单词"turn"。) b. 呈现单词"Thursday""hamburger",让学生读出并找出字母组合"ur"的发音规律,然后试着拼读"turn",指名读,带读,分组读。 c. 分组读短语,男女生交替进行。

    (4) Teaching "go straight" a. Teaching "straight" 呈现"straight"的图片,引出单词,教学单词,注意"ai"的发音。 b. Teaching "go straight" 呈现直走的标志,引出短语"go straight",并板书短语。

    (5) Play a Game 教师发出指令"turn left/right/go straight",学生根据指令做出相应动作。随后,学生分小组练习,一人发指令,其他学生做动作。

    (6) Teaching "crossing" a. T: Everyone, look at the picture. This is a crossing.(呈现十字路口的图片,引出单词"crossing",板书单词,拼读单词,教读,跟读,指名读,齐读。) T: Don’t run at the crossing. Don’t ...(play) at the crossing.(板书短语"at the crossing",齐读短语。)

    (7) Listen to the Tape and Follow the Tape 听录音,跟读板书上的词汇。

    (8) Read the Phrases in Pairs

    (9) Let’s Chant 呈现儿歌,小组记忆儿歌。

    (1) T: Look, this is Lisa. She wants to buy a new magazine. She wants to go to the bookstore. But...(呈现Lisa的问句,教学"get there",指名理解句子,齐读句子。)Lisa doesn’t know where the bookstore is. Let’s help her. Okay? Ss: Okay. Go straight, turn right.(呈现地图,学生简单描述路线。) (2) 呈现句型,同桌两人讨论路线,然后一起描述。 ________ at the_________. Then(然后) __________ at the_________. It’s on the_________. (3) 呈现简易地图,学生两人一组练习。 A: How can I get to the...? B: Turn right/... at the... It’s on the/your left/right. (4) 指组练习。 (5) **Let’s Learn** T: It’s 12 o’clock. Mike and Wu Binbin are hungry. They want to go to the Italian restaurant(课件呈现饭店的图片,板书单词"Italian""restaurant",理解单词,教学单词。) T: Where is the Italian restaurant?(自读课文,回答问题。) Ss: Turn left. (6) **Listen to the Tape and Follow the Tape** (7) **Read in Roles**

    Step 4 Practice

    1. Play a Game

    (1) Guess the Words T: Alright, boys and girls, let's have some fun with a guessing game! I'm going to show you some words, but parts of them will be hidden. Your task is to quickly guess the missing parts and read out the complete word. Are you ready?

    Teacher displays the words "turn," "straight," "crossing," "right," "left" with some parts hidden.

    T: Okay, who can guess the first word?

    S1: Turn!

    T: That's correct! Great job! How about the next one?

    Ss take turns guessing and reading out the words.

    (2) Minefield Game T: Now, let's play a game called the Minefield Game. I have drawn a few words on the board, and underneath one of them, I've placed a "mine." When you read a word and think there's a mine beneath it, you need to stay quiet. Let's see who can avoid the mines and read all the words without setting them off.

    Teacher points to words on the board, and students take turns reading them aloud. When a mine is reached, the student stays quiet.

    (3) Action-Word Match T: Time for another game! I need a brave student to come up here and show us the actions for "turn left," "turn right," and "go straight." The rest of you, get ready to shout out the correct phrases when you see the actions. Let's see how well you can match the actions to the phrases!

    Selected student demonstrates the actions, and classmates call out the corresponding phrases.

    2. Be a Tour Guide

    T: Today, we're going to have a special activity: "Be a Tour Guide!" Each of you will have a chance to be a tour guide and show us how well you can use the phrases we've learned. We'll start with group competitions, and then choose the best guides to represent the class in the final round.

    Students form small groups and prepare to participate in the competition.

    T: Alright, Group A, who's going to be your tour guide first?

    S2: I'll do it! We are now in front of the library. If you want to go to the park, just go straight ahead. If you turn right at the corner, you'll find the museum.

    Each group takes turns presenting their tour guide speech, demonstrating their use of the phrases.

    T: Excellent job, everyone! Now, let's vote for the best tour guide from each group to compete in the final round. Who will be our class's best tour guide?

    T: Great job, everyone! Now, let's take a moment to reflect on what we've learned in this lesson. Who can tell me some of the important things we learned today?

    S1: We learned words like "turn left," "turn right," "go straight," and "crossing."

    T: Exactly! Those are some important words that help us give and follow directions. What else did we learn?

    S2: We learned how to say "on the left" and "on the right," and "at the crossing."

    T: Well done! Knowing how to describe directions using "on the left," "on the right," and "at the crossing" is very helpful. What about asking for directions? Did we learn anything about that?

    S3: Yes, we learned how to ask "How can I get to the...?" and "How do I get there?" We also learned to say "Turn left at the..." and "Turn right at the..."

    T: Excellent! Asking for directions and giving directions are important skills when we're exploring new places. So, to sum it up:

    In this lesson, we learned:

    1. New words and phrases like "turn left," "turn right," "go straight," and "crossing."
    2. How to say "on the left" and "on the right," and "at the crossing."
    3. Asking for directions with sentences like "How can I get to the...?" and "How do I get there?" and using phrases like "Turn left at the..." and "Turn right at the..."

    You all did an amazing job today! Keep practicing, and you'll become experts at giving and following directions. Well done, class!
