Pre-task preparations1.请学生用There were…, but there are…谈谈生活中的变化。S1: There were not many cars in the past, but there are many cars in the street now.S2: There was a small television in my bedroom in the past, but now there is a big one in my bedroom.播放Sing a song的歌曲,让学生跟唱。II . While-task procedures1.请学生根据下面的表格描述濒危动物的数量变化。There were ..., but now there are ... PandasLionsBlue whalesTigersIn the pastmanymanymanymanyNow1,60023,00010,0007,000S1: There were many lions in the past, but now there are only 23,000.2.出示濒危动物的资料,请学生说说该怎样保护这些动物。S1: Blue whales live in the ocean. They're in danger now. There were many blue whales in the past, but now there are only about ten thousand in the wild. Animals are our friends. We mustn't catch and kill them. 3.出示Learn the sounds的单词,请学生轻声朗读,找出发音规律,教师进行总结。ue, u-e, oo — /u: /u, oo — /ʊ/然后,播放Learn the sounds的录音,请学生跟录音朗读单词。4.请学生完成Listen and circle的练习,然后核对答案。出示符合这些发音规律的单词,请学生根据读音规则直接拼读。/u: /ruler, glue, moon, smooth/ʊ/push, bush, hook, rook III . Post-task activities1.学生分为四人一组,根据Do a survey的调查结果,围绕一种濒危动物过去和现在的数量以及生存状态搜集图片和文字资料,以...in danger为题制作一份海报。请个别小组展示并介绍。2.请学生看《练习册》Task的第一部分,选择一种濒危动物,填空完成资料卡,然后根据资料卡和同学问答。S1: What animal is it?S2: It's the Chinese white dolphin.S1: Where does it live?S2: It lives in the South China Sea.S1: What does it like eating?S2: It likes eating fish.最后,学生根据问答结果完成第三部分的练习,描述一种濒危动物目前的情况,针对如何保护这种动物给出适当的建议。【板书设计】Unit 5 Animals in dangerue, u-e, oo, u
