【教学过程】

I. Pre-task preparations

1．先让学生说说暑假的旅游活动，介绍旅游城市，如北京，并出示北京的图片，补充说明北京是中国的首都。

T: How was your summer holiday?

S1: It was fun. I went to Beijing with my parents. We went to the Great Wall, Tian'anmen Square and the Palace Museum.

T: (show a picture of Beijing on the blackboard) This is Beijing. Beijing is the capital of China.

2．让学生举例说出中国其它著名的城市，出示相关城市如上海、杭州等图片，让学生根据图片，猜猜是哪个城市。

T: Please name some other famous cities in China.

S1: Shanghai, Hangzhou.

T: Look, this is Nanjing Road. Which city is it?

S2: It is Shanghai.

II. While-task procedures

1．出示世界地图，指出著名的城市如巴黎、伦敦等，出示相关的图片和词汇Paris, London, France和the UK，让学生将这些城市和相应的国家进行配对。板书单词capital，领读句子，学生齐读。

T: Paris is the capital of France. London is the capital of the UK.

问学生Which city is the capital of China?

板书 Beijing is the capital of China.

让学生齐声朗读句子。

2．出示中国地图，先让学生找出北京和上海所在的位置，出示板书并让学生齐声朗读句型 Beijing is in the north of China. Shanghai is in the east of China. 出示 Look and learn 的方位图并教学单词，让学生拼读。然后出示世界地图，让学生找出伦敦、东京所在的位置，试着说一说它们的方位。

S1: London is the capital of the UK. It's in the ... of the UK.

3．出示表格，播放Listen and say录音，要求学生根据录音内容先完成表格中的信息，引出句型 How long does it take to get to Shanghai from Beijing by train?

T: How long does it take to get to Shanghai from Beijing by train? (write “how long does it take to get to Shanghai from Beijing by train?” on the blackboard)

S1: It takes about five hours.

T: (write“5” in the blank) It takes about five hours. (Write, “It takes about five hours.” on the blackboard) How long does it take to get to Shanghai from Beijing by plane?

S2: It takes about two hours.

T: (write “2” in the blank) It takes about two hours.

然后让学生完成反馈练习，并核对答案。

4．播放Listen and say的录音，学生模仿朗读，分角色读，齐读。

III. Post-task activities

1．出示Ask and answer的表格内容，让学生开展对子活动。发给每组学生两张表格，让学生根据信息差，通过问答交流获取自己所要的信息，完成表格。

S1: How long does it take to get to London from Beijing by plane?

S2: It takes about eleven hours.

S1: (write “11” in the blank)

S2: How long does it take to get to Tokyo from Beijing by plane?

S1: It takes about three hours thirty minutes.

S2: (write “3 and 30” in the blanks)

2．学生四人一组开展对话活动。分发给每组学生四张表格，表格上提供的是一些著名城市的交通信息，让学生根据信息差，通过对话交流，获取所需信息。
