Unit 11 Trees 【第三课时】【教学目标】1.帮助学生复习字母组合tr, dr在单词中的发音。2.通过Think and say的活动,帮助学生巩固运用本单元的核心句型。3.通过Culture comer的活动,帮助学生了解植树节。4.通过学习任务,帮助学生巩固和综合运用本单元所学的知识和技能。【教学重难点】1.语音:tr, dr2.句型:We get…from… We use ... to...【教学准备】课件、音频【教学过程】I. Pre-task preparations1.提问what do we get from trees? 和What do we use wood for? 让学生思考并回答。2.用多媒体动画展示一棵树的成长过程和树的用途,要求学生围绕Trees are very important. 发表看法,或与同桌交流。II. While-task procedures1.学生四人一组,根据Think and say的图片和范例展开讨论,说一说木头的用途。然后各组派一名代表作口头报告。2.出示下列图片和单词,让学生选词填空完成句子,然后核对答案。live trees animals forests wood food fruit cut down There are many forests on the Earth.Many birds live in these forests. They live in trees. Many animals live in the forests, too. Leaves, flowers and fruit of the trees are their food.People cut down trees. They get wood from trees. They use wood to make houses, furniture and paper.3.让学生看四张图中的第一张和第四张,仔细观察两棵树的表情有何变化,两人一组展开讨论。S1:In Picture 1, the two trees are happy.S2.In Picture 4, the two trees are sad, because people cut them down.4.教作总结:善待自然,不滥伐树木。5.出示Culture corner的图片,或用多媒体展示中国和澳大利亚植树节的活动照片,让学生说一说他们在植树节当天通常会做什么。课前让学生先调查哪些国家有植树节,具体日期是什么时候,在课堂上请学生展示他们搜集的资料并作简单介绍。结合本单元所学的故事,请学生谈一谈植树的意义,让学生意识到人类应该善待自然,节约资源,不滥伐树木。6.播放Learn the sounds的录音,示范发音,学生模仿练习。然后再次播放Learn the sounds的录音,学生跟读、抽读,练习发音。最后让学生完成Listen and circle的练习,核对答案。III. Post-task activities1.出示题目Trees are our friends 或 Trees are important,让学生选择一个题目,试着写一篇短文。然后让学生朗读自己完成的短文。S1: Trees are important. We get wood from trees. We can use wood to make pencils, desks, chairs and paper. Trees can keep the air clean. They can cool the air too. Birds make their nests in the trees. Small animals build their homes inside trees. Trees are our good friends.
