Step 1 Warming-up
Brainstrming:
1. Write the schl things yu knw.
2. Cmplete the chart with prnuns.
3. Guide the Ss t bserve the picture in self check 3 and finish the cnversatins.
Intentin: By brainstrming, students can have a gd cmmand f schl things and prnuns, which is the first step t finish writing. And using the tasks t help the Ss prepare fr the writing f this sectin.)
Step 2 Pre-writing
Mapping:
Self check 3: Invite sme grups t perfrm the lst and fund cnversatins. Then ask all the students pay attentin t their wrk and write dwn sme useful sentences that can be always used in a lst and fund ntice.
Wrk n 3a. Let the Ss review the factrs the ntice have in 2b. Then lead them cmplete the ntices in 3a.
Analyze sample passages f 3a and map all the main factrs.

Intentin: Thrugh the tasks in 3a t help the Ss map and get mre structures which can make them write the ntice easier.
Step 3 While-writing
Outlining: Analyze the structures and utline them.
Drafting: Ask the Ss t write their wn lst and fund ntices. Invite 2 students t cme t the bard. In the prcess f students’ writing, the teacher inspects and guides all the students.
Peer-editing: Edit the wrk n the blackbard tgether and then ss edit their wrk in pairs.
Revising: Shwing the marking standard fr writing and explain the different levels. Ss revise and plish their wrk by themselves.
Intentin: Thrugh prgressive writing tasks, Ss can practice their writing and cnslidate the structures they learned in this unit. Prviding the chance fr ss t write.
Step 4 Pst-writing
Prfreading:
Display anther tw mdel writing wrks. Check the ntices n the bard tgether, and ask ther students t crrect their wrk. Then summarize the key pints in a lst and fund ntice.
Exchange wrks in grups, and students cmment and draw the places that need t be mdified with red pen.
The teacher captures the typical wrks and shw them t the screen. The students appreciate the typical wrks f this class.
Intentin: Shw the tw wrks at different levels, and the students need t evaluate the wrks accrding t the marking standard. In the prcess f cntinuus revisin, learn t write articles and cmment n articles. At the same time, cmmenting and appreciating ther peple’s wrks can make students feel different ideas and styles frm varius articles.
Step 5 Summary and Hmewrk
