Section B (2a-2c)Teaching background Analysis of teaching materialThe content of lesson is the Second volume of seventh grade Human Education Edition Unit 12: What did you do last weekend? This unit is about weekend activities. By studying of this unit, students will enable to use the past simple tense to talk about their weekend activities and ask about others' weekend activities. At the same time, let students learn how to talk about events in the past. This period is the first lesson of Reading. The lesson focuses on talking about Lisa's experience last weekend, aiming at letting students grasp the past tense further. This topic of this unit is close to students' life, further promoting mutual understanding between students, so that students in a relaxed and happy atmosphere to learn.Analysis of studentsThe objects of this lesson are students in Grade 7. Students in this phase has already learned simple past tense, thus they must have mastered some skills of tense-learning and fully prepared to learn the lesson cognitively.
