7A  Unit 8 Fashion Reading II 教学设计                  教学目标   By the end of this lesson, students will be able to    1. master the new words and phrases.   2. use the words and expressions about clothes properly.   3. find and enjoy the beauty of clothes and be brave to try different roles in their lives. such as a model, host, dresser, designer and even inventor.教学内容Words: lady, gentleman, comfortable, popularPhrases: sports clothes, both....and…,be popular among…Sentences : Trainers are light and comfortable and are popular among young people.            Here comes Simon.  Both Amy and Daniel look cool. Thanks for doing sth….教学过程Step 1 . Lead-in Watch a short video about clothes and sing the clothes song.    【设计意图】用轻松愉快的服装歌曲，帮助学生回想起Reading 1 所学的关于服装的词  汇，激发学生更深入地学习有关服装的新内容的动机，积极进入本节课的学习状态。接下来，watch a fashion show which is given by the students in our class. (在学习Reading I的时候，就有学生想要举行一个时装展，在开始时，就给他们舞台让他们展示自我，与结果相比，我觉得他们准备的过程和在台上的体验更重要。)【设计意图】这几个孩子平时的英语成绩并不是很突出，但这并不要紧，主要是培养孩子们勇于尝试，不要害怕犯错或者做不好，在不断的尝试中，孩子们得到丰富的生活体验，英语学习也会对他们而言，有了更加深刻的内涵，以提高他们的综合素养。时装秀结束时，T: Are they good models?  Ss: Yes, they are.  T: How does a model usually look?  Ss: A model usually looks tall/ modern/ beautiful/ strong … T: So if you want to be a model, you should exercise more to keep yourself slim/ strong …And is she a good host? Thinking 1: What makes a good host? Ss: To be a good host, we should be confident / we should stand straight…老师让所有的学生起立，想象自己正在主持节目，台词就是Reading短文。然后请两位同学给我们演示一下。可以以文章中的人物，也可以即兴选择班级里的人为模特。【设计意图】让学生自己体验主持一个时装秀的感觉的同时，熟悉文本。在“做”的过程中，提高自己的语言素养。Step 2. Presentation and practice   The teacher talk about what the models wear one by one.1. About Millie :  T: What is she wearing?   S1: She is wearing sports clothes and trainers.    T: How does she look?    S: She looks sporty. / She is full of energy…   T: What do you think about trainers?   Ss: Trainers are comfortable/ light…   T: What else is very comfortable in your life? (提问的意图：学生可以根据自己的生活体验，自主造句子，与他们的生活联系起来。)   Ss: ……T: Do you like wearing trainers?   Ss: Yes.    T: I think trainers are popular among students. Make sentences by using “be popular among”.  __________ is/ are popular among __________.    【设计意图】刘道义教授根据人本主义理论与实践重点研究了学习者学习能力的发展过程，提出了学习者学习能力的形成都要经历动机、注意、建构等阶段。让学生根据自己的生活或爱好等等造句子，在自己熟悉的生活情境中用上这个短语，激活学生已有的知识积累，结合新学的知识，重新建构适合自己的知识小体系。2. About Simon：   Ss: Look! Here comes Simon.  Look! Simon is coming.    The teacher presents the clothes Simon is wearing.  eg. Here is his purple shirt. T: If I use it to refer to his purple shirt, the sentence would be    Ss: Here it is. …    【设计意图】在呈现Simon的穿着过程中，学习Here引导的句子的结构特征，先呈现句子，帮助学生回想起他们小学学过的这种类型的句子，如：Here it is. Here you are.等句子，让学生根据例句尝试着发现规律。3. About Amy and Daniel: 主要呈现短语：both …and  Both Amy and Daniel look cool.  Jeans are popular among both students and teachers. She is both my friend and my teacher.                    【设计意图】巩固be popular among的句式，并呈现both…and… 的不同用法。让短语的学习在句子中进行，而句子的学习在具体的语境、情境中推进。4. About Sandy:    T: What is Sandy wearing?    Ss: She’s wearing…   T: How does she look?   S: She looks modern and beautiful…   T: Why do you think so?   Ss：…【设计意图】这幅图的呈现，师生在对话中再巩固句式Sb. looks +adj.的使用，并且老师最后的追问Why do you think Sandy looks modern/ beautiful/…, 旨在帮助学生综合使用上面我们所学的句子，并引导他们思考服装样式、颜色等的搭配会给人们带来不一样的视觉效果，为接下来To be a good dress的讨论做好铺垫。5. To be a good dresser  Thinking 2 : What makes a good dresser?  Pair work: giving others some advice on what to wear.【设计意图】我们学习这一课，不仅仅希望学生了解并且会用与服装有关的词汇、短语和句式表达，还希望学生能够在日常生活中，自己穿着大方得体，适当的时候，还能给别人很好的穿搭建议，培养学生综合的语言方面和生活能力方面的素养。到这里，学生对于本课的言语点已经有了比较全面的学习，做一些练习巩固一下。6. To be a good designer   Thinking 3: What makes a good designer?  Group work: Design clothes for your teachers. 【设计意图】孩子们天生有着很强的创造性，随着年龄的增长，这种天性可能会减弱。在课堂上，老师可以创设一些情景激发孩子们的创造力，有些孩子的梦想可能就是成为一位设计师。让他们给自己的老师设计衣服的原因是，他们天天与老师见面，很熟悉，而且有的学生觉得老师穿上自己想象或设计出来的衣服，应该会很有趣，能够维持他们的学习兴趣。在阐述小组设计的时候，会用到我们本节课和之前所学的英语知识。Step 3 summary    1.Thinking 4: What is fashion?   Make a summary with the students together.   2.To be a good inventor  Thinking 5: What makes a good inventor? （I hope my students can be brave to try different roles in their lives, such as a model, host, dresser, designer and even inventor. Be brave to try everything and make their lives more colourful. ）【设计意图】这段时间，漫威的复仇者联盟4很受学生的欢迎，学生们都有自己喜欢的角色和这些角色的“战衣”。老师抓住他们的喜好，用一些漫威电影里的suits图片引出：服装的材料不一定都是布，服装的作用也不一定都是保暖、美丽等等，启发学生突破固有的思维，发挥自己的想象，发明出更绿色环保或有强大力量的衣服。Clothes can make us beautiful while knowledge can make us charming(有魅力的）. Clothes and knowledge make us beautiful both outside and inside. So try to be a long-term learner and be brave to try everything in their lives.【设计意图】帮主学生们意识到服装可以让我们外在变得更加美丽，而知识可以让我们更加有魅力。因此，我们不仅要了解服装的美丽、用途、设计等，我们还可以去尝试与服装有关的一些工作，做一个终身学习者，勇敢去尝试，在尝试中，丰富自己的生活，提升自己的素养。Step 4 HomeworkDesign clothes or invent a super suit or special clothes for your family or friend.Tell us why you design or invent the clothes next class.
