一、课前学习活动设计
1. What do you know about “if”? Please discuss it with your classmates and write it down.

二、教师课堂教学设计
1. Learning objectives(学习目标)
At the end of this lesson, students are able to:
(1)read, write and understand some important words, such as video and organize; understand the meanings of some phrases, such as wear jeans, stay at home, take the bus and go with sb. ; use these words
2and phrases in real situations.
(2 use “ first conditional if+ will ” to talk about conditions and consequences in real situations, make better decisions.
(3)get useful information from listening materials by finding the key words first, read a short passage by using reading skills, including linking, stress, intonation and pausing.
(4)know how to wear properly to attend a party, make a party poster, know party culture in some countries and be
confident in Chinese culture.
2. Analysis about students
Students in Grade 7 are curious about getting knowledge and they are interested in party. They have learned the world “if” before, so it won’t be difficult to understand the meanings of sentences with “if”.
3. Important and difficult points(教学重难点)
The most important point is using “if” to express conditions and decisions in real situations. The most difficult point is using the right tenses in “if” conditional sentence and the main sentence.
4. Teaching methods
Task-based teaching method and situational teaching method are used.

Pair work and group work are used.

Step 1 Warm up and lead in
Enjoy a video about Zhang Wenxuan
Who studied in our school more than one year ago. Now she is in her new school but she missed her old friends very much. Luckily, she had a chance to come to see us. So if she comes back, what will you do?
设计意图:设置真实情景,引导学生体会与使用 if 引导的条件状语从句,表达假设的情况,以及设想带来的结果。并且,引出本节课的话题和大任务:为欢迎老朋友而举办聚会。
Step 2 Presentation
Use some questions and pictures to make students use “if” conditional clause.
If you go to the party, what will you do?
What will you wear if you go to the party?
Fourth, listen to finish another task and use pair work to make conversations. Notice the linking(连读), stress(重音),intonation(语调) and pauses(暂停).Fifth, have grammar practice. Students can find some rules by reading plenty of sentences with “if” and they can also get a conclusion about the tenses. Students learn that “if” is used to make conditions or decisions and the main sentence is used to make consequences. Use a game to let students make their own decisions and accept the consequences. Sixth, make conversations to talk about how to have a party. Seventh, have a discussion about preparations for holding a party.
设计意图:通过这一部分的听说练习,学生听懂举办聚会是需要在哪些做好准备。通过讨论,提高学生思考的全面性,引导学生认识到周全的思考与准备,是成功的基础。
Step 4 Summary
Summarize what we have learned today. Know “if clause” means “decisions” and “the main sentence” means “consequences”. Students should make good decisions. Look before you leap.
设计意图:总结本节课所学重点 if 引导的条件状语从句,引导学生认识到决定与结果的关系,树立正确的价值观念,思考周全,做出正确的决定。
Step 5 Consolidation
Have a group work. Enjoy Zhang Wenxuan’s another video and help her to make party posters.
Give evaluations.
设计意图:利用本节课所学,完成 Welcome Party 的最后任务:制作聚会海报。学以致用,巩固所学知识,解决实际问题。
Step 6 Culture differences
Students get to know different kinds of parties both in China and in foreign countries. We have confidence in Chinese party culture and we should also know the party culture in other countries.
设计意图:增强学生文化意识,增强文化自信。了解中外不同的聚会文化,培养国际视野和家国情怀。
Step 7 Homework
(1) Surf the Internet to know more about party culture in different countries.
(2)Use “ if ” to make more sentences .
设计意图:设计分层作业,学生根据实际情况选择。
