My 15-year-ld sn is refusing t take respnsibility fr anything and, althugh he's capable, he des nt shw any interest in his educatin. I am wrried abut him and his future.
Smetimes, I feel bad and tell him that he's trying his best, but sn I start feeling cncerned again. At ther times, I feel angry with him fr the way he is behaving. I try t encurage him by amplifying (放大) every little gd thing he des, particularly in schl, and have tried speaking t him like an adult. I am als wrried that his yunger siblings, wh are ding well, will fllw in his ftsteps. D yu have any tips n hw I can inspire him t change?

We have tw lder teenaged bys wh have bth cme thrugh it and are ding grand nw. I think the ages 14 t 16 are the hardest t navigate with bys, s there may be sme cmfrt in knwing this is likely t be the nadir(wrst mment) that yu are cming thrugh, and it shuld hpefully imprve sn. Hnestly their brains are sup at this age! The single mst imprtant thing t actually wrry abut is this — is he happy in himself? If he is, then the wrry is nt necessary. A small amunt f nagging (抱怨) imbued with lve and supprt shuld be sufficient, s at least they have been advised crrectly, even if they chse nt t fllw the advice at this time.
A practical thing yu can d t help self-esteem (自尊) and passin is t give them sme different experiences utside f schl. We tk urs climbing, biking and t music gigs. One by culdn't deal with the strictness f schl and after a hrrific year f failure and challenging behaviur, went t cllege. I think the ages 14 t 16 are the hardest t navigate with bys, s there may be sme cmfrt in knwing this is likely t be the nadir(wrst mment) that yu are cming thrugh, and it shuld hpefully imprve sn. Hnestly their brains are sup at this age! The single mst imprtant thing t actually wrry abut is this — is he happy in himself? If he is, then the wrry is nt necessary.
