根据Hw t Get t Hlker中By car里Apprximate travel times后面的内容可知,从Manchester 到 Hlker 要用 1 hur 30 minutes,即 90 分钟,故选 D.
Wander amng a variety f shps selling gifts while enjying a live music shw and nice street entertainment." 根据第二段的“In ne studi, a kind lady tld me that in mst cases big statins culdn’t risk hiring an inexperienced persn.”
Everything happens fr the best, ‘Mm reminded me. Dad ffered me the car t hunt fr jbs.”
As I left his ffice,my frustratin biled ver." 然后根据本段最后"and Peter tld me I wuld be bradcasting Saturday’s game"可知,Peter MacArthur 后给了作者这个工作机会。
Smething wuldn’t have happened if nt fr that previus disappintment.”
30. A。 故选 A。
根据题干可将答案定位到第一段,根据第一句中的“winter acrss the East Cast this year has been pretty weak”可知,气象学家Jeff Weber 说"I was in shrts and a T-shirt"旨在表明波士顿以及美国东海岸地区气温异常,冬季气温偏高。
根据第三段的"Arctic blasts(北极寒流),like thse in January 2019, happen when the plar vrtex becmes unstable, allwing frigid air t spill suth."
根据下文中的“the incessantly warming Arctic—the fastest-warming place n Earth—has led t a weaker and less stable plar vrtex”可知,不断变暖的北极--地球上变暖最快的地方--导致了更弱、更不稳定的极地涡旋。
36. G.根据空后"Read n fr sme f the biggest myths abut htel upgrades plus hw t actually scre ne."
39. D.sme f these rms
He had devted his life t acting but had never been quite successful. 可知,他的情绪应该是defeated(挫败的)。
43. A, lk kindly n/upn
44. D,result in 导致。lead t 导致,bring in 带来,carry in 搬进。
45. D, jump at欣然接受。 carry ut实行,write fr为 写作,draw up起草,拟定。
make ut辨认出,wrk ut解决问题,meet the need 满足需求。
56. issued。 由时间状语 in December(2021)可知,此空应为过去式。issue发行。
57. with, be familiar with对……
58. an。
59. training。
60. Unluckily。
61. bravery。
62. phenmena。
63. recrding。
64. has penned/penned。
65. which。
