Leaving India fr the United Kingdm t cntinue my research career, I felt mre ut f place than befre. At wrk, I shied away frm discussins, let alne putting frward my pinins. I was afraid my clleagues wuld see me thrugh and realize hw weak I really felt. Sme mrnings, just stepping ut f my rm and ging int the lab seemed a challenging task.
That began t change after a quiet breakdwn in the lab urged me t cntact the university's mental health services. I was advised t attend a cncert by a famus singer frm my mtherland. There I was in the packed cncert hall, surrunded by strangers—all f us clapping and singing alng t the familiar sngs. It was a cmplete victry. I've changed a lt since then.
Sn, I planned a day trip t a picturesque city a few hurs away. As I tk pictures f the beautiful surrundings, and enjyed a lemnade there, I realized nbdy was really paying any attentin t me. My cnfidence and self-recgnitin grew as I enjyed mre lcal day trips. My grwing self-cnfidence carried ver t wrk, where I started t speak up and put frward my pinins. I began t ask questins during departmental discussins.
S, when an imprtant cnference relevant t ur research came arund, I felt cmfrtable registering t attend n my wn even if my clleagues weren't interested in it. Nt nly did I meet the speakers, but I als intrduced myself t ther attendees and industry representatives, chatting abut their prducts. The experience inspired me t evaluate my wn prfessinal interests.

KFC has annunced that it will partner with Russian cmpany 3D Biprinting Slutins t develp biprinted lab-grwn chicken. It is a part f the glbal fast fd giant's aggressive strategy twards alternative prtein.
KFC's new biprinted labgrwn chicken made with plant material and cultured animal cells are a part f the chain's missin t becme a “restaurant f the future”. In the annuncement, the fast fd giant says that its labratry-prduced chicken nuggets (鸡块), which will be the wrld's first, will reduce the envirnmental ftprint f the prduct cmpared t using cnventinal chicken meat. Accrding t a paper cited in KFC's press release, grwing meat frm cells reduces energy cnsumptin by mre than half, reduces greenhuse gas emissins by 25 fld, and requires 100 less land when weighed up against traditinal livestck farming.
“Our experiment in testing 3D biprinting technlgy t create chicken prducts can als help address several glbal prblems,” said Raisa Plyakva, general manager f KFC Russia & CIS, in a statement.

Leaving India fr the United Kingdm t cntinue my research career, I felt mre ut f place than befre. At wrk, I shied away frm discussins, let alne putting frward my pinins. I was afraid my clleagues wuld see me thrugh and realize hw weak I really felt. Sme mrnings, just stepping ut f my rm and ging int the lab seemed a challenging task.

KFC has annunced that it will partner with Russian cmpany 3D Biprinting Slutins t develp biprinted lab-grwn chicken. It is a part f the glbal fast fd giant's aggressive strategy twards alternative prtein.
KFC's new biprinted labgrwn chicken made with plant material and cultured animal cells are a part f the chain's missin t becme a “restaurant f the future”. In the annuncement, the fast fd giant says that its labratry-prduced chicken nuggets (鸡块), which will be the wrld's first, will reduce the envirnmental ftprint f the prduct cmpared t using cnventinal chicken meat. Accrding t a paper cited in KFC's press release, grwing meat frm cells reduces energy cnsumptin by mre than half, reduces greenhuse gas emissins by 25 fld, and requires 100 less land when weighed up against traditinal livestck farming.
