Step1.Warm-Up
Ask students t name their favrite athletes r sprts stars and share the reasns fr their admiratin. Discuss what qualities make a sprts legend and the impact they have n sciety.
Step 2. Pre-Reading
Intrduce the tpic f "Living Legends f Sprts" and the tw athletes, Lang Ping and Michael Jrdan. Shw images f them in actin and ask students t make predictins abut their achievements and challenges based n the pictures.
Step3. While-Reading
Activity 1: Legends' Achievements and Challenges
Divide the class int tw grups, with each grup assigned t ne athlete. Prvide each grup with a shrt summary f their respective athlete's achievements and challenges. In a jigsaw activity, students frm each grup pair up with students frm the ther grup t share their findings. Have them discuss the impact f the athletes' achievements and hw they vercame challenges t becme legends.
Activity 2: Analysis f Mental Strength
After reading the sectin abut Michael Jrdan's mental strength, lead a class discussin n the imprtance f resilience and perseverance in sprts and life. Ask students t share persnal experiences where they had t vercme challenges and hw they applied Jrdan's apprach t learning frm failures.
Activity 3: Rle-Play Interviews
Divide the class int small grups and assign each grup a rle-play scenari. Each scenari will invlve a famus interviewer cnducting an interview with either Lang Ping r Michael Jrdan. Students shuld research the athlete they are representing and cme up with thughtful questins and respnses based n the infrmatin frm the article.

Divide the class int small grups and assign each grup tw different living legends frm the article (e.g., Lang Ping and Michael Jrdan, r ther sprts legends if available).
