一、七个“不”1．不增加人物由考纲样题及近几年高考真题中所给的段落首句可知，续写的故事情节发展都是由原文的人物所推进，因此，强行增加人物有可能会偏离情节发展。2．不增加旁支情节题目要求“考生根据所给情节进行续写”，旨在延续原材料的故事情节，并不是要发展新情节。
3．不用过多对话在续写中展示对话，虽能丰富内容和语言，增强语篇的连贯性，但使用过多的对话，会显得篇幅累赘且很难在限定的词数里把整个后续的情节发展补充完整。4．不用负能量结局结局设计绝对不能负能量。内容应该积极向上，能增长知识或传播正能量。5．不在文末设置悬念题目要求是“使之构成一篇完整的短文”，若在文末设置悬念，就会给人一种还没结束的感觉，这样的故事是不完整的。
6．不偏离原文主题续写的情节应时刻围绕着短文的主题去推进。7．不违背逻辑常理情节和细节的想象要合理，符合生活常识及具有逻辑性。
二、三个原则1．原文一致原则续写内容要前后衔接，上下连贯，保持时态一致、人物一致、事件一致及语言表达风格一致。2．曲折性原则凡是故事都应有跌宕起伏或矛盾冲突，其中人物会遇到困难或问题，但最终能解决。但情节设计不能过于复杂或离奇，否则阅卷老师便不能快速读懂你想表达的内容。
3．正能量原则故事内容一定要传递正能量，围绕“真善美”的大主题去设计情节，弘扬社会主义核心价值观。如迷路了但最终一定回到了家； 失败了或遇到困难了，但最终一定成功了； 吵架了但最后一定是言归于好，和睦相处； 犯错了，最后一定会改过自新，重新做人； 贼逃了，最后一定是绳之以法，等等。
[典例](2022·新高考Ⅰ卷)阅读下面材料，根据其内容和所给段落开头语续写两段，使之构成一篇完整的短文。It was the day f the big crss-cuntry run.Students frm seven different primary schls in and arund the small twn were warming up and walking the rute (路线) thrugh thick evergreen frest.I lked arund and finally sptted David，wh was standing by himself ff t the side by a fence.He was small fr ten years ld.His usual big tthy smile was absent tday.I walked ver and asked him why he wasn't with the ther children.He hesitated and then said he had decided nt t run.
What was wrng? He had wrked s hard fr this event! 第一步：初读，获取故事基本要素
第二步：再读，确定文本双线1．情节线：即谁做了什么，为什么，可以从文中获取。大型越野赛跑→大卫准备放弃比赛→鼓励大卫→决定参赛→战胜自己2．情感线：即谁感觉如何，需要进行合理的推测。在整个故事中，作者的情感变化为：sad→frustrated→determined。在续写的两个自然段中，可充分利用这条情感线来烘托故事气氛，使内容更加饱满。
第三步：三读，创构续写情节第一段续写：由第一段首句内容“我们挨着坐着，但大卫不愿看我一眼。”和第二段首句内容“我看着大卫和其他选手一起走到起跑线上。”可知，第一段可描写作者鼓励大卫继续完成比赛，大卫经过激烈的心理斗争，最终决定参加比赛。第二段续写：由第二段首句内容“我看着大卫和其他选手一起走到起跑线上。”可知，第二段可描写大卫开始参赛，虽然中途遇到困难，仍然坚持到最后，完成比赛。
第四步：续写，优化语言定稿1．细节描写要有画面感作者让大卫追寻自己的内心，不理会别人的看法，大卫最终参赛，所以应着重于动作和情感这两方面的描写。具体如下：第一段续写：(1)安慰和鼓励①David 的心情He just ducked his head and stared at his wn shes.Judging frm his expressin，it was evident that he was trapped in a dilemma.
②“我”Patting him gently n his shulder，I said in a sft vice，“Yu never missed a single practice.Yu always finished every run.D yu want yur effrts t end up in vain？”(2)David的反应和“我”的语言描写Hearing these wrds，he turned his head，tears shining in his eyes，and murmured “but ther kids will laugh at me.”But David，what cunts mst is t try t the best f yur ability in whatever we're ding.(3)大卫决定上场Hearing my wrds，he finally made up his mind t jin in the crss-cuntry team.

2．用多种句式和高频词汇彰显高人一筹的写作技能各细节敲定后，接下来就是将它们串联起来构成完整的文章。此时我们不能都是一种句式打天下，这样不仅使文章的语言有失丰富性和灵动性，还会使句与句之间的过渡过于生硬，不够流畅。3．衔接过渡要自然适当地使用一些衔接词来表示故事在时间上的推进，使句与句之间的过渡自然，通顺流畅。
