I had nt planned t stay in the village f Zacate, but it had been raining hard fr a whle day. S I had t stay there.
I fund peple there full f fear. This village was at the ft f a vlcan. It was becming mre active. Men, wmen and children came t the square. A few helped each ther and went ut f twn t get as far away frm the vlcan as pssible, with large and full packs in their hands. Suddenly, I felt a strng earthquake. The villagers in the square ran away as sn as they felt the earthquake.
Suddenly, I saw black smke rlling dwn the side f the muntain twards the village. Trees and grass burned up in a secnd. The vlcan eruptin（喷发） was cming s fast that in less than a minute the rads t the village were cut ff. All I culd d was watch and wait. Amur tigers, als knwn as Siberian tigers, are interesting animals. They are the biggest cats in the wrld. A full-grwn Amur tiger can weigh ver 600 punds. Unlike lins that live in grups, tigers are slitary animals. Tigers als have very gd eyesight and hearing. Its eyesight is six times better than a human’s.
Amur tigers live in the frests lcated in the Russian Far East and nrtheastern China. They have a thick yellw fur cat with black stripes（条纹）. Their stripes are like human fingerprints.
