    通过本单元的教学,让学生达成以下目标:
    1. 知识目标
    掌握本单元新单词及短语: building, hall, dining hall, gate, library, ffice, playgrund, science, lab, behind, between, middle, near, with, fr, rm。
    2. 能力目标
    (1)用正确的语音、语调朗读故事,把握故事的细节信息。
    (2)正确运用there be句型。
    3. 情感目标
    通过听说训练,学会用英语介绍方位。

    Step 1 Leading in
    Shw sme pictures abut schl t the students and let them tell the wrds f the pictures.

    Step 2 Warming up
    1. Ask the students t label the pictures with the wrds and expressins
    Answers:

    ⑦ffice ⑧playgrund
    2. Ask the students t write Betty’s classmates’ names n their desks.

    Step 3 Fast reading
    Read the passage and label the map f the schl.
    (1)Ask the students t listen t the recrding.
    (2)Tell them t read the passage.
    (3)Tell the students t lk at the picture f the schl and ask what they can see.
    (4)Ask where the different places are. Ask them t describe the schl in pairs.
    (5)Tell them t read quickly and check(√)the places mentined.
    (6)Call back the places mentined frm the whle class.
    (7)Ask the students t label the map and check the answers with the whle class.

    1. Ask the students t read the passage again. Answer the fllwing questins and check with a partner.

    5 Where are the cmputer rms and science labs?
    2. Check the answers with the whle class.

    1. In the middle f the schl is a big playgrund.
    在学校的中央是一个大操场。
    ◆in the middle f意为“在……中间/中央”。
    He is in the middle f the rm. 他在房间的中央。
    2. Between this building and the dining hall is the classrm building with twenty-fur classrms.
    在这幢楼和饭堂之间是教学楼,里面有24间教室。
    ◆between是介词, between…and…意为“在……和……(两者)之间”。
    I sit between him and Lucy. 我坐在他和露西中间。
    ◆with表示“具有,带有”,是介词。with twenty-fur classrms是介词短语,作后置定语,修饰前面的名词building。

    我叔叔有一个带花园的房子。
    3. …and the building in frnt f that is fr science. ……前面的建筑物是用于科学课的。
    ◆fr意为“为了,用于……”,表目的、用途。
