I used t be the mst determined reslutin-maker. Even as a child, I was always gal-centered and lved the feeling f accmplishing things, and every January 1st, I wuld sit dwn and write ut my reslutins fr the upcming year. And what reslutins they were! I always picked big gals, like: In the New Year, I will lse 50 punds! And run a marathn!
The prblem? I’d start ut strng, but by February r March, I’d be ut f willpwer and I’d slide quietly back int my ld habits. Every winter, I’d feel guilty and ashamed, lking back at all f the amazing things… I think ne f my biggest prblems with New Years reslutins was wanting t “dream big” but nt having the skills and ability t d thse things.
Nw I take the ppsite apprach I’m all abut the little gals. First, little gals are easy t set. Instead f saying I’m ging t run a marathn, I’ve decided I’m ging t run 20 minutes three days a week. Secnd, little gals are easier t accmplish. Every time I check ne f my mini gals ff my list, I feel a burst f pride and accmplishment. It’s a great feeling, and I dn’t have t wait until the end f the year t enjy it!
