Supercapacitrs are an alternative t batteries.They can't stre as much energy as a nrmal battery des，but they are much quicker t recharge.Durians and jackfruits cntain sme f the chemicals used in supercapacitrs，which gave Gmes the idea.T make the fruit­based devices，the team heated and then freeze­dried the uneatable cres f the durian and the jackfruit t make a special kind f material called an aergel.
Aergels are ne f the wrld's lightest slid materials.Often called “frzen smke”，they are made by remving the liquid frm a gel (胶状物) and replacing it with air.They have many scientific uses，and ne f their special prperties is the ability t cnduct electric currents，which makes them an imprtant part f supercapacitrs.The aergels made frm durians and jackfruits bth wrked well when placed inside a supercapacitr，althugh the durian aergel was fund t be the better f the tw.
