    We laughed abut this and abut mistakes my friends made in reading ther signs. When my friends saw the wrd "DIVERSION" n a rad sign, they thught they were ging t have fun. But that was nt the case. In Spanish, the wrd "DIVERSION" means fun. In English, hwever, it usually means that yu have t take the rad because the usual rads are clsed.
    English peple have prblems t when they are faced with freign languages. Once in Paris, I happened t see a "librairie". I thught it was a library and walked int it, asking t brrw sme bks. Hwever, t my surprise the "librarians" all stared at me in amazement! Later I fund ut that "librairie" in French means "bkstre".
