    The analysis suggested that 20-year-lds were quickest because they were the mst willing t trade accuracy fr speed. The researchers cncluded that the purely mechanical part f the respnse (hw fast a persn sees the questin and taps the keybard) was quickest in thse aged 14-16. Mental prcessing state appeared t peak at abut age 30, and declined nly very slightly between 30 and 60. Participants als made fewer mistakes as they became lder, at least until the age f abut 60.
