三、重要语法
主语从句和表语从句
主语从句在主句中充当主语，可以分为3类：
1. 由从属连词that、whether、if引导
主语从句在句首时，不能用if，只能用whether。
That she survived the accident is a miracle.
Whether we will hld a party tmrrw depends n the weather.
2. 由连接代词wh、whm、whse、which、what、whever、whatever等引导
Whever breaks the law shuld be punished.
3. 由连接副词when、where、why、hw引导
Where the test will be given is nt yet decided.
为了避免主语部分过于冗长，导致句子头重脚轻，通常使用it作为形式主语，而主语从句放在后面作为真正的主语。
It is certain that she will d well in her exam.
It is cmmn knwledge that the whale is nt a fish.
It was reprted that the US was under the terrrist attack.
表语从句又叫主语补语从句，在主句中充当表语，位于系动词之后。
与主语从句类似，表语从句也可以用从属连词、连接代词、连接副词引导。

The questin is hw he did it.
reasn作主语或why引导的主语从句作主语时，表语从句用that引导，不用because。
The reasn is that he gt up late.
Why he is absent is that he gt up late.
表语从句that is because...强调原因，that is why...强调结果。
I was angry. That was because he didn’t understand me.
That is why she failed t pass the exam.
That is the reasn why she failed t pass the exam.
* 上面的例句为定语从句，注意与表语从句的区别
