    Step 1. Warm-up
    Greetings.
    Review.
    Teacher shws the pictures. Students say the wrds(phrases).
    (dance, sing English sngs, read a bk, play ftball, d kung fu)
    Step 2. Presentatin
    Intrduce the five clubs.
    T: Tday, we’ll have a class meeting. The tpic is hbby.
    There are five clubs in ur schl. They are the dancing club, the singing club, the ftball club, the reading club and the kung fu club. They want sme new members. D yu want t jin in these clubs?
    2. Guess.
    T: Wh is he? Ss: He is Zhang Peng.
    T: Guess! Which club will Zhang Peng jin ? Ss:…
    T: Zhang Peng is talking with Peter. Let’s have a lk. What are Zhang Peng’s hbbies?
    Learn: reading stries, singing, ding kung fu.
    Students watch the flash and answer the questin.
    T: What are Zhang Peng’s hbbies?
    Ss: He likes reading stries, singing and ding kung fu.
    Teacher shws the wrd cards and teaches the wrds(phrases)
    (reading stries, singing, ding kung fu)
    Learn: dancing.
    Teacher shws the picture f dancing.
    T: What are my hbbies? Ss: Yu like dancing.
    Learn: playing ftball.
    Teacher shws the picture f ftball.
    T: What are his hbbies? Ss: He likes playing ftball.
    Students read the dialgue and the wrds(phrases) after the tape.
    Step 3. Practice
    Lk and say
    Students say the wrds(phrases) accrding t the pictures.
    What’s missing?
    T: There are many wrds(phrases) in the apple tree. Can yu say ut the wrds(phrases) as quickly as yu can?
    Rle play.
    Students read the dialgue in rles.
    4. Make a new dialgue.
    S1: Hey, ____. What are yur hbbies?
    S2: I like ____. I als like____. Hw abut yu? What are yur hbbies?
    S1: I like ____. I als like ____.
    Step 4. Prductin
    D a survey.
    Interview yur classmates and then give a reprt.
    --What are yur hbbies? --I like …
    Tw students like dancing. One student likes singing.
    2. Sum-up Time.
    Students and teacher summarize the basic changing rules f present participles.
    Step 5. Hmewrk
    1. Listen and read “A Let’s learn”.
    2. Cpy the wrds(phrases) and the dialgue 2 times.
    3. Talk abut hbbies with yur parents and yur friends.
