    “We have knwn fr years that parents talk t children mre differently than t ther adults in a lt f ways. The team develped a game where parents helped their children t pick a specific animal frm a set f three. Half f the animals in the matching game were animals that children typically learn befre age 2, like cat and cw.     A Light in the Dark
    Fr students, study is very imprtant. But nt all f them can have a gd envirnment t study. Recently, a 15-year-ld girl called Ann Maksinski learned that a friend f hers in the Philippines culdn’t study after dark because her friend’s hme didn’t have any electricity. Then Ann wanted t help her. As a result, Ann invented a flashlight that was pwered by heat frm the human hand.
    The human bdy keeps prducing heat. That is why peple feel warm when they tuch things. Ann wanted t see whether human bdies can make enugh heat t pwer a flashlight. She thught that a special kind f tile (贴片) called Peltier tiles might wrk fr her purpses. A Peltier tile prduces energy when ppsite sides f the tile get in tuch with different temperatures. Ann tried t find a useful way t create different temperatures. She decided t build a hllw (中空的) flashlight and put Peltier tiles int it. She thught that if a warm human hand cvered ne side f the tiles while the ther side f the tiles was expsed (暴露于) t cler air, the tiles wuld prduce energy t make light.
    Ann wrked hard n her idea. First, she had t balance (平衡) the flashlight prject with her schlwrk. Then, she had t make difficult calculatins (计算) that required much research.
