    T: Lk at the picture. What’s the weather like? Yes, it’s snwing. That’s a fact.
    What d yu think f the snwy day? Yu think it’s a nice day, but I feel very cld. S that’s yur pinin.
    T: “It’s snwing” is a fact. “It’s a nice day” is an pinin. Tday we are ging t learn “Facts and pinins”.

    Step 2 Presentatin
    1. Changes in Starlight Twn
    T: Lk at the picture abut Starlight Twn and answer the fllwing questins.
    (1) What has changed in Starlight Twn?

    (2) What d yu think f Starlight Twn?
    T: The answers t Questin 1 are all facts abut the changes in Starlight Twn.

    2. Grup discussin
    (1) What is a fact?
    (2) What is an pinin?
    T: Facts are true statements. They include names, dates, events and numbers. Opinins tell what we believe, feel r think. They may nt be true.
    3. Facts r pinins?
    T: Lk at the sentences n the screen and decide whether it is a fact r an pinin.
    T: Sentences that shw pinins we ften use verbs like feel, believe and think r have adjectives like gd, bad and terrible.
    T: Finish Part A. Read the sentences belw. Write an F fr a fact r an O fr an pinin.

    T: When we write, we can use facts t supprt ur pinins. We can als give facts first, and then state ur pinins.

    T: Read Millie’s interview with Mr Chen and discuss hw Mr Chen gives facts and states his pinins.

    T: Suppse yu’ve mved t a new schl. Please write abut the changes in yur life and state yur pinins.
