[2023·武汉市质量检测]Rbin Hd famusly stle frm the rich and gave t the pr. Newly hatched yung barn wls (仑鸮) d smething similar.
On average, barn wls raise six chicks at nce—and smetimes as many as nine. But they dn't all hatch at the same time, which means the lder wls are generally larger and healthier than their yunger brthers and sisters. As lng as the little wls remain in the nest, they're cmpletely dependent n their parents fr fd. In many birds, the ldest wuld simply utcmpete the yungest, but barn wls are different. It turns ut that the lder, healthier birds smetimes share their meals with their hungry siblings (兄弟姐妹).
“In chicks, it is really rarely bserved. S it's quite impressive that in this grup, there is behavir shwing they wrk tgether,” added evlutinary bilgist Pauline Ducuret frm the University f Lausanne in Switzerland. She and her team wanted t knw hw this unique behavir evlved. It culd be explained by the direct benefits gained thrugh grup wrk, such as sharing fd fr grming (梳毛). Or it culd be explained by the indirect benefits gained frm helping thers that are clsely related—als knwn as “kin selectin”.
They fund that the answer was bth. Yunger birds grmed lder nes mre ften than lder nes grmed the yungsters. And in return, the lder birds fed their yunger siblings. In additin, lder wls wuld ffer fd t their hungry siblings rather than eat themselves, even in the absence f grming. Ducuret said that evlutinary bilgists usually characterize sibling relatinships as cmpetitive r even ppsed. But remarkably cmplex examples f grup wrk can still be fund amng animal brthers and sisters.
It seems that even newly hatched barn wls knw that sharing is caring. S think twice befre ding smething selfish. After all, yu dn't want t be defeated by a newly hatched bird.

[2023·河北省六校联考]Rbts are slwly entering the field f realtime multitasking, but befre they can make it, their cmputing systems must be updated.
“T truly crss that bridge, the rbt needs high cmputing pwer, high decisinmaking speed, lw pwer cnsumptin, high flexibility f resurce scheduling, and easytuse cmputing parts, s as t run algrithms (算法) lcally in real time,” Shi Luping, a prfessr at Tsinghua University and Ma Sngchen, a Tsinghua Ph. D. candidate wrte in an email.
Right nw, prcessing units cannt efficiently meet AI's needs fr ecnmical and adaptable prcessing. But neurmrphic (神经形态的) systems culd be a slutin. T invent a new neurmrphic cmputing system that can cmpletely supprt the netwrks, Ma and his clleagues first created a framewrk called Rivulet. “It's challenging t design rbtfriendly equipment, and there are few multitasking prcessrs specifically designed fr intelligent rbts,” wrte Shi and Ma. “We think f hw we prcess infrmatin t make decisins reflexively—it's the quality f brain regins. Then we cme up with a Rivulet mdel, which enables multiple netwrk tasks t schedule resurces n the chip (芯片) efficiently and flexibly.”
Using the Rivulet mdel, the scientists built an electrnic chip labeled TianjicX, as well as additinal sftware. They put bth int a mbile rbt named Tianjicat and ran it thrugh a catandmuse game. During the game, Tianjicat had t carry ut varius AI instructins t catch the rbt muse, which mved randmly within a space with barriers using visual recgnitin and sund detectin. Analysis shwed TianjicX reduced the amunt f energy Tianjicat used by half while prcessing infrmatin and significantly cut dwn n delays between making decisins and acting n them.
“We prvide an explratin platfrm fr AI researchers and prmte the study f braininspired intelligence,” wrte Shi. “Our platfrm als has great ptential t be applied in edge cmputing scenes due t its ability f multitask prcessing, such as autnmus driving and the Internet f Things.”

    B.Frm the catandmuse game.
C.Frm the feature f human brains.
D.Frm the inventin f neurmrphic systems.
7.Hw des the chip functin in the game?
