Najib is an Afghan wh grew up in Iran. He led a tugh life. When he fund his children wuld be in the same situatin, his family initially returned t Afghanistan. But with the cuntry filled with cnflicts, they decided t leave fr Indnesia.

Refugees (难民) cannt wrk in Indnesia and there are limited chices fr refugee children t attend lcal schls. Determined t avid such a fate, a grup f refugees in Puncak tk actin and scraped tgether (东拼西凑) their resurces t set up a schl—the Refugee Learning Center (RLC).
“Our nly gal and task is t prvide basic educatin, and prepare the refugee children fr their future,” says Abdullah Sarwari. “We’re als trying t prvide a nrmal life as much as pssible fr them.”
The RLC has als started ffering Bahasa Indnesia classes t the refugee cmmunity. “Between the refugee and the lcal cmmunity, I feel like there’s a language barrier which stps the refugee frm having an hnest and pen interactin with Indnesians,” says Abdullah.
