The effects were mst marked when it came t literacy. Grwing up with few bks in the hme resulted in belw-average literacy levels. Being surrunded by 80 bks bsted the levels t average, and literacy cntinued t imprve until hme libraries reached abut 350 bks, at which pint the literacy rates leveled ff.
