Then with the help f a cmputatinal methd that helps accunt fr physical differences amng actual brains, the team tried t decde what participants had heard using just three secnds f brain activity data frm each persn. The team instructed the AI t match up the speech sunds frm the stry recrdings with patterns f brain activity that the AI cmputed as crrespnding t what peple were hearing. It then made predictins abut what the persn might have been hearing during that shrt time, given mre than 1, 000 pssibilities.
