根据第一段“Hwever, ne part remained in a regin f Manhattan called Chelsea. Chelsea was becming high-class as restaurants, art galleries and apartments were built, but the ugly railway structure remained as a dead weight.” 上文“ne part remained in a regin f Manhattan called Chelsea. Chelsea was becming high-class as restaurants, art galleries and apartments were built(有一部分被保留下来的区域被叫做Chelsea,随着饭店、画廊和公寓被建,这里变成了高级场所。)”
根据第二段“David and Hammnd were the nly peple at the meeting interested in saving the histrical structure.(David和Hammnd是会议上唯一对拯救历史建筑感兴趣的人。)”
根据最后一句话“Only the final sectin remains the way it has been fr the last fifty years.(只有最后一部分保持了过去五十年来的样子。)” 故选A。
根据文章开头“Mst city parks are places where yu can escape frm big, ugly structures f metal and stne.

.空前说“The High Line n the West side f Manhattan is a 2-kilmeter lng wheelchair-accessible public park.(位于曼哈顿西侧的The High Line是一个2公里长的公共公园,可供轮椅通行。)”,说明这是在介绍The High Line,空后说“It clsed in the early 1980s and faced destructin befre residents wrked tgether t frm Friends f the High Line, wanting t put the site t gd use.(它在20世纪80年代初关闭,在居民们一起成立Friends f the High Line之前面临着破坏,他们想要好好利用这片土地。)”,也是在介绍这个公园,空格处应该也是介绍这个公园的内容,C选项“It was built alng the remains f a sectin f a disused railway line.(它是沿着一段废弃铁路线的遗迹修建的。)”

.空前说“In name, the High Line is administered by the NYC Department f Parks Recreatin.(名义上,the High Line是由纽约市公园娱乐部门管理的。)”,空格处应该说实际上它是由谁管理,E选项“The park is maintained and perated by enthusiastic vlunteers in reality.(在现实中,公园是由热心的志愿者维护和运营的。)”
.空前说“This prject shws hw pssible it is t mix nature int every cityscape.(这个项目展示了将自然融入每一个城市景观的可能性。)”,这是在说这个项目的意义,空后说“As an innvative and inspiratinal way, it gives the whle planet a helping hand, even in the mst urban f envirnments.(作为一种创新和鼓舞人心的方式,它向整个地球伸出了援助之手,即使是在最城市化的环境中。)”,说明这个项目有更大的意义,A选项“T be mre realistic, it has a far mre reginal impact.(更现实地说,它的地区影响要大得多。)”

故填a。
句子结构分析可知,“____4____ is knwn as the mst beautiful rainbw muntain”为名词性从句作frm的宾语,设空处在宾语从句中作主语,指物,表示“…… 故填what。
设空处在句中作谓语动词,由下文“Wind, rain, and time then carved the rck frmatins and rlling hills int ____6____ (vary) extrardinary shapes, including twers, pillars and valleys.” 故填were created。
故填varius/varied。
