    三、教材分析
    本单元的主要话题是描述动物,表达个人喜好,并说明理由。该部分的学习内容涉及动物,是学生比较喜欢的话题,贴近学生生活,极易激发学生的主动性和学习兴趣。本节课学习动物的单词,及表述喜欢的原因。教学中的各项活动都围绕动物展开。学生们运用英语简单描述自己喜欢的动物,进一步培养和激发他们热爱动物、保护动物、维护生态平衡的朴素情怀。
    四、教学目标:
    1. 语言知识目标:
    1) 能掌握以下单词:animal, tiger, elephant, panda, lin, kala, giraffe, cute, lazy, smart, beautiful, scary, kind, kind f, Australia, suth, Africa, Suth Africa
    2) 能掌握以下句型:
    ① What animals d yu/des she/ des he like?
    ② Let’s see the …?
    ③ Why d yu/des she/ des he want t see …?
    ④ Because they are ….
    2. 能力目标:
    ① T bserve and describe animals.
    ② T talk abut their preferences
    ③ T knw the implied meaning f sme animals
    3. 情感态度与价值观目标:
    动物和人类都生活在同一地球上,动物是我们的朋友。我们人类应该与动物和谐相处,共同生存。我们应当学会关爱动物,保护动物。
    4. 可渗透的法制内容:《中华人民共和国野生动物保护法》第八条 国家保 护野生动物及其生存环境,禁止任何单位和个人非法猎捕或者破坏。
    五、教学重难点
    1. 教学重点:
    1) 学会描述动物的性格及特点。
    2) 学会表达喜欢某类动物及说明喜欢的原因。
    2. 教学难点:
    名词的复数形式表示一类事物;第三人称单数形式

    教学过程
    Step1 Warming-up and lead in (4 minutes)
    The teacher shws a piece f mvie abut animals n PPT.Let the students watch it carefully and think what they are.Then they speak them ut quickly.They can use Chinese.
    T:They are animals.“animal” means“动物”in Chinese!(Write the wrd “animal”n the blackbard and teach it. )

    Step2 Presentatin(8 minutes)
    1.Animal wrds.Shw the class sme pictures f animals and present ther animals. And ask them:
    What’s this in English?
    It's a tiger. (Then lin, panda, elephant, kala, giraffe)
    The teacher leads them t read ,the students try t remember the new wrds f the animals in 1a with the help f pictures.

    2.Finish 1a. Glue the pictures n the blackbard and ask ne student t match the pictures with the wrds n the cards. Other students turn t page 25 and finish 1a.
    3.Check the answers with the class.

    4.Game (Guessing game.)
    Shw sme pictures n the big screen. Let Ss guess what animal it is. Ss try t guess and remember the names f the animals.

    As a student,we shuld bey the laws,we can’t break them.Let’s remember we peple shuld be friendly t the animals.Dn’t kill them any mre.Let them live in peace.We save them,we als save urselves.

    Tell Ss t listen t the tape and check the animals they hear in 1a. Play the recrding again and check the answers with the class.

    1)Shw the pictures f cute. fun. lazy interesting. smart. beautiful and learn n the big screen.
    2)Pint t the picture f pandas and say “They are cute /fun/lazy...

    Step6 Listening(10 minutes)
    Shw a map f the wrld n the big screen,and pint t China,Australia,and Suth Africa.Lead students t read and remember the wrds f the places.

    T: Listen t the cnversatin carefully. Then write the names f the animals yu hear n these lines.Play the recrding the first time. Students nly listen.Play the recrding a secnd time. This time students write the names f the animals
    Check the answers.
    Pint ut the adjectives and cuntries listed n the right. Ask a student t say the wrds.Say, Nw I will play the recrding again. This time draw a line between each animal and the adjective and cuntries yu hear.Play the recrding and have students match each animal with an adjective and a cuntry.
    Crrect the answers.

    T: Listen again and cmplete the cnversatin with the wrds in 2a.
    Play the recrding fr the Ss t listen and write the answers.
    Check the answers with the class.
