    [2023·长沙市雅礼中学一模]As a child, I never cnsidered myself an athlete at all as I was very uncrdinated (不协调的). Hwever, I did lve t run because I felt as if I was flying but this all changed tw years ag when I suffered a knee injury. I was bedridden fr tw weeks and I had a difficult time mving even shrt distances. I literally cried myself n my way t the car fr a few days.
    When therapy wasn't wrking well fr me, I signed up fr a ht yga class fr girls, Bikram Yga t be exact. Starting a yga practice was truly a gdsend because it helped me gain strength in my knees but, mst imprtantly, yga helped me attain a mre peaceful state f mind, bdy and spirit.
    Since each class was heated t 105°F, every time I stepped ft in the yga studi, I'd feel a surge(涌起) f negative thughts cme upn me like a big cean wave. Sme f these thughts were, in the beginning f my practice, s strng that I walked ut f the class several times. Hwever, as the mnths passed by, I nticed that when I didn't get swayed away by my negative thughts, I culd stay in the ht rm fr lnger.
    After 3­4 mnths f practicing ht yga, my arms and legs were beginning t get definitin. I als wke up with s much mre energy than I had befre starting my yga practice and I gradually started shedding the punds frm my bdy. Yga literally made me feel as if I'd taken a sht f energy drink and just gave me that burst that helped my knees heal and made my verall health better.
    As I saw sme f my classmates d pses that lked appealing t me, I started t think maybe I culd d them t. Therefre, yga helped shw me that I have n real limitatins physically unless I set thse limitatins myself thrugh eating junk and thinking in negative limiting terms.
    Als, practicing yga in frnt f a mirrr helped me cnnect with myself and practicing with a grup f peple really helped me t feel a greater sense f cnnectin with humanity whereas befre I didn't. Overall, this yga practice has helped me t see I'm part f a bigger picture in life!
