There I was surprised t see Brigitte, wh was terrified f water, dive int the pl. Then t my hrrr, I caught sight f Frrest’s yellw sleeper. Brigitte was bravely ding her best t keep him aflat by hlding n t his sleeper with her muth. At the same time, she was desperately trying t swim t the shallw end. Only then did I realize that Frrest had smehw pened the dr, wandered ut and fallen int the pl. In a split secnd, I dve in, lifted my precius baby ut and carried him inside. Hands shaking, I called 911 and we were rushed t the hspital immediately, where the dctr kept him fr bservatin fr ne night.
Finally, the dctr said Frrest was all right and culd be released frm hspital. Back hme, nce Brigitte saw him, she barked with apparent jy and wuldn’t let Frrest ut f her sight. In time she settled dwn, but remained dedicated t Frrest and fllwed him everywhere, cncerned abut his safety. Even when Frrest was asleep, Brigitte crammed herself under the crib, keeping a vigil (值夜). Our dg was indeed an angel, erasing any despair I might have had abut lsing ur hme. A huse culd always be replaced, but knwing we had each ther arund was the greatest blessing f all. I was grateful she was part f ur lives, wh I wuld never give up.
