Step 1 Leadin
1.Ask ne r tw students t retell the passage abut Mari and Mary in 3a in Sectin A.
2.Have a dictatin abut the key wrds and phrasal verbs.
3.Shw students ther phrasal verbs and ask them t explain them in English.
Step 2 Cperative inquiry
1.Ask students t read the sentences in 1a and match them with similar meanings.Then check the answers.
2.Ask students t lk at the phrases in the bx in 1b.Match the phrasal verbs with the nuns.Then make sentences with the phrases.Ask sme students t give their answers.
3.Ask students t lk at the fur pictures in 1c.Try t think what the by is ding.Then listen t the tape fr the first time t get the main idea.Listen again and number the pictures [14] in the crrect rder in 1c.Then listen t the tape fr the third time and check the answers.
4.Ask students t listen again and finish the task in 1d.
5.Let students rleplay a cnversatin between Jimmy and the reprter.Use the infrmatin in 1c and 1d.

Step 1 Leadin
Ask students the questin:Hw d yu usually thank smene wh helps yu?After that,ask students t discuss this questin with their partners.Then ask sme f them t give their answers.
Step 2 Cperative inquiry
1.Ask students t read the letter in 2b and answer the questins:

2.Ask students t read the passage slwly and carefully and underline the key wrds,phrases and sentences.The teacher explains their usages with PPT.

本节课的写作活动可以以小组活动的形式出现,让学生利用所给的框架进行写作练习,使得整个过程水到渠成。一方面让学生有写作思路,有内容可写,又不失兴趣;另一方面培养学生学习探究的好习惯。由于本课内容比较多,应该引导学生进行课前预习,这样才能更好地完成任务。
