Period 3(Section B 1a-1e)设计说明 本课时是前两课时教学的巩固和延伸,以“描述活动和活动地点”为话题,通过图文匹配、听说训练、情景设置、合作交流等,综合训练学生运用现在进行时的一般疑问句进行问答;并给学生足够的机会独立思考,从而达到提高英语学习能力的目的;引导学生自主探究,共同总结出本节课的语言目标。教学目标 1. 知识目标: (1)掌握单词:pool,shop,supermarket,man。 (2)掌握句型:—Is Alice playing basketball? —No,she isn’t. She’s... 2. 能力目标: 能在日常生活情景中运用现在进行时谈论、描述自己或他人正在做的事情,从而掌握现在进行时的特殊疑问句、一般疑问句及其简略回答。 3. 情感目标: 培养学生的观察能力和判断能力,激发他们的学习热情,鼓励学生积极参与课堂上组织的各项活动。重点难点 1. 重点: 学习并掌握本节课的词汇,运用现在进行时谈论身边发生的事情。 2. 难点: 运用现在进行时谈论不同场合下人们正在做的事情。教学准备 多媒体课件,1c的音频文件,调查表。教学过程 Step 1 Warming up Listening to a song Are you sleeping and try to sing it. Play the recording for three times. 1. Ask the students to listen for the first time. 2. Let them fill in the following blanks for the second time. 3. Ask them to sing together for the third time. Are you sleeping Are you ? you sleeping? Brother John? Brother John? Morning bells are . Morning bells ringing. Ding ding dong. Ding ding dong. Step 2 Presentation 1. Show some pictures to the students and talk about them. For example: T:Look at the picture and answer my questions:What’s the man doing? Ss:He’s swimming. T:Is he swimming in a river? Ss:No,he isn’t. T:Where is he swimming? (Help the Ss to answer)Ss:He’s swimming in a pool. (Talk about other pictures in the same way.) 2. Translate the following phrases and words into English. (1)在图书馆in the library (2)在游泳池in the(swimming) pool (3)在学校at school (4)在超市in the supermarket (5)阅读read (6)游泳swim (7)打篮球play basketball (8)购物shop 3. Complete the sentences using the words in the box. (4)Some men are playing basketball on the playground. (5)Do you want to go shopping with me? Step 3 Practice 1. Look at the pictures in 1a. Complete the chart. 2. Check the answers. Answers:(1)pool,swimming (2)supermarket,shopping (3)library,reading 3. Look at the pictures in 1a. Then ask and answer questions like that in 1b. Step 4 Listening 1. Work on 1c. (1)T:Now listen to a conversation. This time write the places you hear in the chart. (2)Play the recording again for the students to check the answers. Answers:Places(自上而下依次为):school,library 2. Work on 1d. (1)Ask the students to listen again and write the activities in the chart. (2)Play the whole recording and ask the students to check the answers. Answers:Activities(自上而下依次为):shopping(buying milk and bread),playing basketball,reading Step 5 Group work 1. Work on 1e. Let the students use the information in the chart to make a conversation. Ask some pairs to share their conversations to the class. 2. Talk about the language points in groups. (1)man的复数形式是men,woman的复数形式是women。 (2)swim的现在分词是swimming,shop的现在分词是shopping。 (3)现在进行时的一般疑问句是将be动词提到句首。肯定回答为“Yes,主语+be动词.”;否定回答为“No,主语+be动词+not.”。 Step 6 Survey First,divide the students into eight teams. Next,let each team make a survey. The team which surveys the most students in three minutes is the winner. Finally,show the survey to the class. Question:What is S1 doing at 8:00? Then give a report.
