Period 2 (Section A 2a-3c)设计说明 本课时为综合课,通过图文匹配、听力选词、角色扮演、语法总结、看图作答等任务让学生继续学习与巩固There be结构、where开头的特殊疑问句和方位介词。重点是训练学生在真实语境中使用方位介词的能力。通过教学图片或视频资料等让学生分组练习所学语法项目,由机械操练到自由发挥,达到熟练运用所学句型和词汇的要求。教学目标 1. 知识目标: (1)掌握单词和短语:across,front,behind,town,around,north;across from,in front of。 (2)掌握句型: —Is there...around here? —Yes,there is. —Are there any...near here? —No,there aren’t. The pay phone is across from/next to/in front of/behind... The pay phone is between...and... —Where’s the bank? —It’s next to the post office. 2. 能力目标: 学会用There be 句型、where开头的特殊疑问句及介词或介词短语谈论物体间的相对位置。 3. 情感目标: 学会有礼貌地问路及指路,培养礼貌待人、乐于助人的品质;通过灵活运用问路及指路的交际用语,帮助学生树立学习英语的自信。重点难点 1. 重点: (1)There be句型的一般疑问句及肯定与否定答语。 (2)where引导的特殊疑问句。 (3)方位介词。 2. 难点: 正确运用介词或介词短语描述物体的相对位置。教学准备 多媒体课件,2b和2d的音频文件。教学过程 Step 1 Warming up & Leading in 1. Daily greetings. 2. Revise the sentence “Is there...? ” by checking homework each other. Then practice the conversations in pairs. For example: S1:Is there a post office near your house? S2:No,there isn’t. S1:Is there a hotel near your house? S2:Yes,there is. Step 2 Presentation 1. Show the students some pictures. Have them describe the location of the pay phone,using the given prepositions. next to between...and... across from on in front of behind For example: T:Where is the pay phone? S1:It’s next to the library. Correct the students’ pronunciations if there’s something wrong. 2. Read the words and phrases in the pictures and translate them. next to 挨着,靠近 between...and... 在……和……之间 across from 在……对面 on 在……(街/路)上 in front of 在……前面 behind 在……后面 3. Let the students read the sentences in 2a together. Then ask the students to match the sentences with the pictures. Write each number in the box. (1)There be结构的含义是(某地)存在某人或某物;There be结构的主语是be动词后面的名词。 (2)在There be结构的句子中,主语为可数名词单数或不可数名词时,be动词用is;主语为可数名词复数时,be动词用are;主语为几个并列的名词时,be动词的形式由最靠近它的名词确定,即遵循“就近原则”。 (3)无法确定有没有某人或某物时用①“Is there...?” 或②“Are there...?”,如果确定有,但不知在何处时用③“Where is/are the...?”。①和②都属于一般疑问句,肯定答语为“Yes,there is/are.”;否定答语为“No,there isn’t/aren’t.”。③为特殊疑问句,其答语是“……在某地”。 —Are there any pay phones in our school? —Yes,there are. Look at the map and answer the questions in 3a. Then ask and answer the questions in pairs. Answers:(1)It’s between the hospital and the post office. (2)Yes,there’s one across from the police station. (3)It’s on North Street next to the police station. (4)It’s on New Street next to the bank. (5)No,there isn’t. There’s one on New Street. 3. Look at the map in 3a and write three sentences. Then ask some students to read their sentences in class. Answers:(1)The restaurant is near the police station. (2)The park is across from the hotel.
