    Period 1(Section A 1a-2d)设计说明  通过师生之间的自由对话导入新课。利用flashcards 引入新短语,激发学生学习的兴趣,从而调动学生学习英语的主动性和积极性,明确学习目标。在听力训练过程中,听前扫除障碍,减少听的难度,有利于增强学生的自信心,使学生更好地掌握听的技巧及听力的内容;另外,在听后,让学生总结本课时的重点句型Could you please...?和Could I...?,并运用本课时所学习的重点短语,及时地进行操练,让学生做到熟练掌握、熟练运用。合作体验,交流讨论:设置合作活动,使学生能熟练完成任务,培养合作意识,让他们用目标语言交流讨论。在师生交流中运用目标语言,渗透作为学生在家里要帮助父母做家务的思想,培养学生养成积极主动地帮助家人做家务的习惯。教学目标  1. 知识目标  (1)掌握单词和短语:rubbish,fold,sweep,floor,mess;take out the rubbish。  (2)掌握用could有礼貌地提出请求和征询许可 的句型:①—Peter,could you please take out the rubbish? —Sure,Mom. ②—Could I use your computer? —Sorry. I’m going to work on it now. ③—Well,could I watch TV? —Yes,you can,but first you have to clean your room.   2. 能力目标  (1)学会运用情态动词could谈论家务琐事及家庭 互助。  (2)通过听力练习与口头操练,能迅速有效地捕捉关键信息,并能在小组合作中运用英语表达,提高说英语的能力。  3. 情感目标  培养学生养成主动地帮助家人做家务的习惯。重点难点  1. 重点:  (1)本课时单词与短语。  (2)学习有关家务琐事的短语动词。  (3)本课时的重点句型。  2. 难点:  (1)用情态动词could礼貌地提出请求和征询许可。  (2)学会运用情态动词could谈论家务琐事及家庭 互助。教学准备  1. 准备与本课时有关的图片。  2. 准备录音机、磁带及多媒体课件。教学过程  Step 1 Warming up & Leading in  T:Good morning,boys and girls! Do you often help your parents at home?   S1:Yes,I do.   T:What do you usually do to help your parents?   S1:I often wash the clothes.   ...  (做两三组口头练习,然后继续师生问答)  T:What do you do?   S:I...  T:Do you often do housework at home? Today we are going to learn to do chores.(板书do chores并解释)I hope you can learn it carefully and help your parents at home,OK?   Step 2 Presentation  1. T:Look at the screen. What chores do they do?           (1)      (2)      (3)              (4)      (5)      (6)      S1:He does the dishes.   S2:He makes the bed.   S3:She takes out the rubbish.   S4:She cleans the living room.   S5:He sweeps the floor.   S6:He folds the clothes.   T:OK. In this lesson we’ll learn how to make polite requests and ask for permission.   First,look at activity 1a.   1. Look at the picture above 1a and answer some questions.   (1)How many people can you see in the picture?   Two.   (2)Who are they?   They are mother and son.   (3)Where are they?   At home.   (4)What is the boy doing?   He is reading a book.   (5)What’re they talking about?   They are talking about doing chores.   2. Read the phrases in 1a.   3. Do you often do these chores? Please write VO(very often);O(often);S(seldom);HE(hardly ever)or N(never)beside the chores. And tell us like this:I very often make my bed. I often do the dishes and take out the rubbish. But I seldom fold my clothes and sweep the floor. I never clean the living room.   Step 4 Listening  Work on 1b-1c.   T:Look at the picture above 1a again. Will Peter take out the rubbish?   Ss:Yes,he will.   T:Now look at the chart in 1b. Who will do these chores,Peter’s mother or Peter?   1. Listen to 1b. Who will do these chores? Check(√)Peter’s mother or Peter.   2. Then check their answers like this:Peter’s mother will do the dishes,sweep the floor and clean the living room. Peter will take out the rubbish,make the bed and fold the clothes.   3. Listen again and fill in the blanks.   —Peter,we need to clean the house. Your grandma is coming over at seven.   —Sure,but I need to do my homework first.   4. Read the conversation in pairs in 1c.   5. Underline the sentences“Could you please...?”and “Can you...?”.   6. Compare“Could you please do the dishes?”with “Can you do the dishes? ”. Which sounds more polite to you?   (让学生思考判断这个问题,引导学生理解can与could在表示请求时的不同)  7. Make conversations about the chores in 1a with the following sentences. Ask several pairs to act their conversations out.   A:Could you please...?  B:Yes,sure. /All right. /No problem. /Certainly. /Sorry,I can’t. I have to do...  Work on 2a-2c.   T:Look at the picture in 2a. Answer the questions.   (1)What’s the boy’s name?   Peter.   (2)Who’s the man in the picture?   Peter’s father.   (3)Where are they talking?   At their home.   T:What are they talking about? What does Peter want to do? Please look at the chart in 2a.   1. Read the phrases and translate.(The teacher can help the students to explain the phrases.)  2. Listen for the main idea.   T:We know Peter is a good boy. He often helps his mom do the chores. But sometimes he wants to go out for dinner. He often asks his father for permission. What does his father say? Please look at the picture,and let’s come to 2a.   The general idea of the conversation is about     .   A. what Peter wants to do  B. what Peter’s father wants to do  C. Peter’s father is busy  Answer:A  3. Listen and check(√)“yes” or “no”. Then check the answers.   Answers:go out for dinner.  √  yesgo to the movies.  √  yesstay out late.  √  noget a ride.  √  no  4. Read the reasons and let the students guess the right reason.   5. Listen again. Draw lines to the reasons. Then check the answers.   Answers:stay out late.  √  no→You have a basket-ball game. get a ride.  √  no→I have to do some work.   6. Write two sentences with“Peter wants...,but his father... because...”.   7. Sum up how to ask for permission. Study“Could I...?”.   8. Read 2c carefully. Make conversations between Peter and his father using the information in 2a. Do it like this:  A:Could I...?  B:Sorry. I’m going to...  A:Well,could I...?  B:Yes,you can,but first you have to...  Step 5 Practice  When I was your age,I often helped my mom do chores. What about you? What chores can you do? Have students answer questions.   1. Read 2d and answer some questions.   (1)What is Tony doing?   He is watching TV.   (2)What does his sister want him to do?   She wants him to help out with a few things.   (3)What is his mother doing?   She is shopping.   (4)Will his mother be happy when she sees this mess?   No,she won’t.   (5)What are Tony and his sister going to do next? Can you guess?   They are going to do the chores.   2. Role-play the conversation.   3. Write down the phrases.   (1)帮助做某事help out with sth.   (2)做完某事finish doing sth.   (3)至少 at least   (4)非常干净、整洁pretty clean and tidy  (5)随时;在任何时候any minute now  4. Complete the passage according to 2d.   Tony’s sister is asking him to help out with a few things. She wants him to take out the rubbish,fold the clothes and do the dishes. But Tony is watching TV and he doesn’t want to do that. He thinks he could at least finish watching that show. His sister tells him that Mom won’t be happy if she sees that mess. Finally they do the chores.   5. Read 2d aloud. Then ask two or three pairs to role-play it in front of the class.   Step 6 Survey  Make a survey. What chores do you do at home? How often do you do them? Talk about them in groups of four.   Report like this:In my group,Jim sweeps the floor and does the dishes every day...  Step 7 Cooperative inquiry  Discuss the following language points in groups and fill in the blanks.   1. take out意为“拿出,取出”,是“动词+副词”型短语,宾语是代词时放在动词和副词中间。  The gift is in the box. You can take it out.   礼物在盒子里,你可以把它拿出来。  2. Could you please...?表示有礼貌地请求别人做某事或提议,其后接动词原形,比Can you...?语气更委婉、更有礼貌。类似句型还有:  Would you like + sth. /to do sth.?  Shall we + do sth.?  Would you mind + sth./doing sth.?  What/How about + sth./doing sth.?  肯定回答:Sure. /Of course. /Certainly. /OK. /Great. /Good idea. 等。否定回答:Sorry.../No,I can’t. 等。  3. Could I...?表示有礼貌地征询许可,其后接动词 原形。  肯定回答:Sure. /Of course. /Certainly. /OK. /Great. /Good idea. 等。否定回答:Sorry.../No,you can’t. 等。  4. finish + doing sth.意为“做完某事”。  You can borrow my book after I finish reading(read)it.   我读完我的这本书后你可以借它。  5. ...two hours of TV is enough for you! ……两个小时的电视对你来说足够了!  表示时间、距离、金钱、重量等的词语作主语时,通常被视作整体,谓语动词用单数形式。  Two months is(be)a long holiday.   两个月是一个长的假期。  6. any minute now是一种常见的口语表达法,相当于“随时,马上”的意思,表示事情有可能在极短的时间内发生或眼下就要发生。minute还可以用second,moment,time等词替换。  Don’t worry. He will come here any minute now.   别担心,他会马上来这儿。  The guests are arriving any time now but we’re still not ready. 客人即刻就到,但我们还没有准备好。  We’re expecting them any moment now.   我们期待他们随时到来。  Step 8 Summary  In this lesson,we have learned:  New words:rubbish,fold,sweep,floor,mess.  Phrases:do the dishes,sweep the floor,take out the rubbish,make the bed,fold the clothes,clean the living room.  Sentences:—Could you please...? —Yes,sure./Sorry, I can’t.   —Could I...? —Yes,you can. / Sorry,you can’t.   Step 9 Homework  1. Read and copy the new words and phrases of this lesson.   2.
